A system for transferring funds from a sender to a recipient with a recorded message is disclosed. In one step the method includes receiving a request for a fund transfer from the sender. The sender may make the request for a fund transfer at a transaction processing device. In another step a payment is received from the sender for the fund transfer and a payment confirmation is transmitted to the host computer system. An identifier may then be assigned to the fund transfer. A recorded message from the sender may be received and at least a copy of the recorded message may be transmitted to a host computer system. The recorded message may then be associated with the fund transfer. A request, including the identifier, may be received from the recipient to receive the recorded messaged. In another step the recorded message may be sent to the recipient.

A method comprising: receiving, at a host computer system, a first request for a funds transfer from a sender to a recipient; receiving, at the host computer system, transaction information from a transaction device comprising one or more biometric readers and at least one of an audio or video recorder, wherein the transaction information received from transaction device comprises: (i) a source account for the funds transfer read from an information card of the sender via the transaction device, (ii) biometric data of the sender captured via the one or more biometric readers of the transaction device, and (iii) an audio and/or video message from the sender recorded via the audio or video recorder of the transaction device; receiving, at the host computer system, a confirmation that a payment from the source account has been made for the funds transfer; assigning, by the host computer system, an identifier to the funds transfer; transmitting, by host computer system, the message from the sender to a web server, and storing the message on a password-secured web page of the web server; receiving, at the host computer system, a second request from the sender that the message is provided to the recipient prior to receipt of funds by the recipient; associating, at the host computer system, the message with the identifier or the funds; providing, by the host computer system and to the recipient, access information for the password-secured web page of the web server; receiving, at the host computer system, a third request from the recipient, wherein the third request includes the identifier and the access information; and providing, by the host computer system, access to the password-secured web page including the message to the recipient, in response to receiving the third request including the access information from the recipient. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the first request for the funds transfer is received from a web page interface. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the identifier assigned to the funds transfer comprises a stored value account number. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the message from the sender is received after payment is received from the sender. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the third request is received via telephone, and the message is provided via telephone. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: activating, at the host computer system, a financial instrument in response to the third request. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the message and a financial instrument are delivered to the recipient via mail. 8. A system comprising: at least one computer system configured for at least: receiving a first request for a funds transfer from a sender to a recipient; receiving transaction information from a transaction device comprising one or more biometric readers and at least one of an audio or video recorder, wherein the transaction information received from transaction device comprises: (i) a source account for the funds transfer read from an information card of the sender via the transaction device, (ii) biometric data of the sender captured via the one or more biometric readers of the transaction device, and (iii) an audio and/or video message from the sender recorded via the audio or video recorder of the transaction device; receiving a confirmation that a payment from the sender has been made for the funds transfer; assigning an identifier to the funds transfer; transmitting the message from the sender to a web server, and storing the message on a password-secured web page of the web server; receiving a second request from the sender that the message is provided to the recipient prior to receipt of funds by the recipient; associating the message with the identifier or the funds; providing access information for the password-secured web page of the web server; receiving a third request from the recipient, wherein the third request includes the identifier and the access information; and providing access to the password-secured web page including the message to the recipient, in response to receiving the third request including the access information from the recipient. 9. The system of claim 8 , wherein: the first request for the funds transfer is received from a web page interface. 10. The system of claim 8 , wherein: the identifier assigned to the funds transfer comprises a stored value account number. 11. The system of claim 8 , wherein: the message from the sender is received after payment is received from the sender. 12. The system of claim 8 , wherein: the third request is received via telephone, and the message is provided via telephone. 13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the at least one computer system is further configured for at least: activating, at the at least one computer system, a financial instrument in response to the third request. 14. The system of claim 8 , wherein: the message and a financial instrument are delivered to the recipient via mail. 15. A non-transitory machine readable medium having instructions stored thereon, wherein the instructions are executable by one or more processors for at least: receiving a first request for a funds transfer from a sender to a recipient; receiving transaction information from a transaction device comprising one or more biometric readers and at least one of an audio or video recorder, wherein the transaction information received from transaction device comprises: (i) a source account for the funds transfer read from an information card of the sender via the transaction device, (ii) biometric data of the sender captured via the one or more biometric readers of the transaction device, and (iii) an audio and/or video message from the sender recorded via the audio or video recorder of the transaction device; receiving a confirmation that a payment from the sender has been made for the funds transfer; assigning an identifier to the funds transfer; transmitting the message from the sender to a web server, and storing the message on a password-secured web page of the web server; receiving a second request from the sender that the message is provided to the recipient prior to receipt of funds by the recipient; associating the message with the identifier or the funds; providing access information for the password-secured web page of the web server; receiving a third request from the recipient, wherein the third request includes the identifier and the access information; and providing access to the password-secured web page including the message to the recipient, in response to receiving the third request including the access information from the recipient. 16. The non-transitory machine readable medium of claim 15 , wherein: the first request for the funds transfer is received from a web page interface. 17. The non-transitory machine readable medium of claim 15 , wherein: the identifier assigned to the funds transfer comprises a stored value account number. 18. The non-transitory machine readable medium of claim 15 , wherein: the message from the sender is received after payment is received from the sender. 19.
