Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A method and system are provided for targeting specific users with specific requested actions to be performed by the user and verified by any methods on behalf of an advertiser within an Internet display advertising campaign. The system discloses techniques for receiving an advertiser's requested actions and corresponding definitions of what constitutes a satisfaction of the action. The disclosure also details techniques for determining if and when and to what degree a requested action has been completed or satisfied by the targeted user, and details corresponding techniques for compensating the user and any other real or virtual entity who had contributed to the satisfaction of the requested action. The system implements a network of sensors that can aid in the determination of if and when and to what degree a requested action has been completed or satisfied. The network of sensors registers sensor recordings within a specialized sensor recording marketplace.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for matching users with experts in response to a recording of a series of events by the user, the method comprising: receiving from a user, by one or more computers, a kinesthetic sensor recording comprising performance motion information of the user recorded by the user that pertains to the series of events and a respective sensor recording model, the sensor recording model comprises meta-information about the kinesthetic sensor recording, and terms-of-use associated with the kinesthetic sensor recording, wherein the sensor recording model comprises a requested action of a user-generated sensor recording request; registering the kinesthetic sensor recording and the respective sensor recording model in the sensor recording marketplace, wherein the sensor recording marketplace, operated as a network, matches the kinesthetic sensor recording by the user to at least one expert; matching, by the one or more computers, the respective sensor recording model to at least one expert by using the meta information in the sensor recording model to associate the series of events to the product or service of the expert; sending the kinesthetic sensor recording to the expert the expert then providing analysis and direction without being physically with the user; providing, in the sensor recording marketplace, facilities, including at least a public directory and a series of specific syntax rules, that enable one user to select, experience, and optionally purchase kinesthetic sensor recordings made by another user, wherein the specific syntax rules facilitate expressing characteristics of the kinesthetic sensor recordings, and wherein the characteristics include input sensor type and one or more kinesthetic sensor recording objectives, values, goals, or offers; evaluating a particular kinesthetic sensor recording to generate a confidence score that indicates a likelihood of one or more users selecting the particular kinesthetic sensor recording, wherein a confidence evaluation includes comparing historical records, current sensor sources, and current user data sources, and for every recording offered through the sensor recording marketplace, ranking each user according to their likelihood to purchase the recording. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the performance motion information is related to a sports activity or motor skill. 3. A non-transitory computer-readable medium carrying one or more instructions for matching users with experts in response to a recording of a series of events by the user, wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform the steps of: receiving from a user, by one or more computers, a kinesthetic sensor recording comprising performance motion information of the user recorded by the user that pertains to the series of events and a respective sensor recording model, the sensor recording model comprises meta-information about the kinesthetic sensor recording, and terms-of-use associated with the kinesthetic sensor recording, and wherein the sensor recording model comprises a requested action of a user-generated sensor recording request; registering the kinesthetic sensor recording and the respective sensor recording model in the sensor recording marketplace, wherein the sensor recording marketplace, operated as a network, matches the kinesthetic sensor recording by the user to at least one expert; matching, by the one or more computers, the respective sensor recording model to at least one expert by using the meta information in the sensor recording model to associate the series of events to the product or service of the expert; sending the kinesthetic sensor recording to the expert the expert then providing analysis and direction without being physically with the user; providing, in the sensor recording marketplace, facilities, including at least a public directory and a series of specific syntax rules, that enable one user to select, experience, and optionally purchase kinesthetic sensor recordings made by another user, wherein the specific syntax rules facilitate expressing characteristics of the kinesthetic sensor recordings, and wherein the characteristics include input sensor type and one or more kinesthetic sensor recording objectives, values, goals, or offers; evaluating a particular kinesthetic sensor recording to generate a confidence score that indicates a likelihood of one or more users selecting the particular kinesthetic sensor recording, wherein a confidence evaluation includes comparing historical records, current sensor sources, and current user data source; and for every recording offered through the sensor recording marketplace, ranking each user according to their likelihood to purchase the recording. 4. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 3 , wherein the performance motion information is related to a sports activity or motor skill. 5. A system for matching users with experts in response to a recording of a series of events using a sensor recording marketplace, the system comprising: a computer processor to execute a set of program code instructions; and a memory to hold the program code instructions, in which the program code instructions comprises program code to perform, receiving from a user, by one or more computers, a kinesthetic sensor recording comprising performance motion information of the user recorded by the user that pertains to the series of events and a respective sensor recording model, the sensor recording model comprises meta-information about the kinesthetic sensor recording, and terms-of-use associated with the kinesthetic sensor recording, and wherein the sensor recording model comprises a requested action of a user-generated sensor recording request; registering the kinesthetic sensor recording and the respective sensor recording model in the sensor recording marketplace, wherein the sensor recording marketplace, operated as a network, matches the kinesthetic sensor recording by the user to at least one expert; matching, by the one or more computers, the respective sensor recording model to at least one expert by using the meta information in the sensor recording model to associate the series of events to the product or service of the expert; sending the kinesthetic sensor recording to the expert the expert then providing analysis and direction without being physically with the user; providing, in the sensor recording marketplace, facilities, including at least a public directory and a series of specific syntax rules, that enable one user to select, experience, and optionally purchase kinesthetic sensor recordings made by another user, wherein the specific syntax rules facilitate expressing characteristics of the kinesthetic sensor recordings, and wherein the characteristics include input sensor type and one or more kinesthetic sensor recording objectives, values, goals, or offers; evaluating a particular kinesthetic sensor recording to generate a confidence score that indicates a likelihood of one or more users selecting the kinesthetic sensor recording, wherein a confidence evaluation includes comparing historical records, current sensor sources, and current user data sources, and for every recording offered through the sensor recording marketplace, ranking each user according to their likelihood to purchase the recording. 6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the performance motion information is related to a sports activity or motor skill.
