The invention claimed is: 1. A refrigerator comprising: a cabinet defining a storage space; a door configured to open and close the storage space by rotating about a vertical hinge axis; a hinge configured to couple the door to the cabinet and defining the vertical hinge axis; and a door opening device provided at the door and configured to open the door; wherein the door opening device includes: a case, a driving motor, a push rod provided in the case and configured to be pushed out of the case based on being actuated by the driving motor to thereby open the door, the push rod being positioned between the driving motor and the hinge and having a curved rack that is convex relative to the hinge axis, and a plurality of reduction gears mounted in the case and configured to transmit a driving force of the driving motor to the push rod, the plurality of reduction gears being a sequence of gears that includes at least a first reduction gear and a last reduction gear, the last reduction gear being farther removed from the driving motor than the first reduction gear, wherein a first distance in a front-to-rear direction between a rear surface of the door and a point of contact at which the driving force is transmitted to the curved rack is less than respective distances in the front-to-rear direction between the rear surface of the door and a center of rotation of any of the plurality of reduction gears, and wherein a length of the curved rack is greater than a width of the case in the front-to-rear direction. 2. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein a center of curvature of the curved rack lies on the hinge axis. 3. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein an opening device accommodation part is defined by the door, the opening device accommodation part being recessed downward from a top surface of the door and being configured to accommodate the door opening device. 4. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein the rear surface of the door defines a rod hole that is configured to allow the push rod to pass through to thereby make contact with a front surface of the cabinet when actuated to open the door. 5. The refrigerator according to claim 4 , wherein the push rod is configured, based on being pushed out of the case to open the door, to be withdrawn out of the case such that at least half of the curved rack is withdrawn out of the case. 6. The refrigerator according to claim 5 , wherein the push rod is configured, based on being pushed out of the case to open the door, to be withdrawn out through the rod hole such that at least half of the curved rack is withdrawn out of the rod hole. 7. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein the push rod is configured, based on being actuated to open the door, to be withdrawn such that the door is rotated open to about 24° to 26°. 8. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein the length of the curved rack is greater than a thickness of the door in which the door opening device is accommodated. 9. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein the door opening device further includes a dummy gear that couples the last reduction gear to the curved rack of the push rod, the point of contact at which the driving force is transmitted to the curved rack coinciding with a point of contact between the dummy gear and the curved rack. 10. The refrigerator according to claim 9 , wherein the curved rack extends from a proximal portion of the push rod that makes contact with the dummy gear when the push rod is fully retracted within the case to a distal most end of the push rod. 11. The refrigerator according to claim 9 , wherein a first diameter of the dummy gear that makes contact with the curved rack is less than respective diameters of any of the plurality of reduction gears. 12. The refrigerator according to claim 9 , wherein the dummy gear includes a plurality of dummy gears, the dummy gear that makes contact with the curved rack being positioned closer to the rear surface of the door compared to any other of the plurality of dummy gears. 13. The refrigerator according to claim 9 , wherein the point of contact between the dummy gear and the curved rack is positioned closer to the hinge axis compared to any portion of the plurality of reduction gears. 14. The refrigerator according to claim 9 , wherein the point of contact between the dummy gear and the curved rack is positioned closer to the rear surface of the door in which the door opening device is accommodated compared to any portion of the plurality of reduction gears. 15. The refrigerator according to claim 9 , wherein a length of the portion of the curved rack that makes contact with the dummy gear during operation is greater than a circumference of the dummy gear that makes contact with the curved rack. 16. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein the driving motor is positioned within the case. 17. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein an axis of the driving motor is parallel to the hinge axis. 18. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein the door is configured to rotatably open to a preset manual range upon opening by a user and to rotatably open to a preset automatic range that is less than the preset manual range upon opening by the door opening device. 19. The refrigerator according to claim 18 , wherein the preset automatic range is approximately 25°. 20. The refrigerator according to claim 18 , wherein the preset manual range is approximately 180° or greater. 21. A refrigerator comprising: a cabinet defining a storage space; a door configured to open and close the storage space by rotating about a vertical hinge axis; a hinge configured to couple the door to the cabinet and defining the vertical hinge axis; and a door opening device provided to open the door; wherein the door opening device includes: a case, a driving motor, a push rod provided in the case and configured to be pushed out of the case based on being actuated by the driving motor to thereby open the door, the push rod having a curved rack that is convex relative to the hinge axis, and a plurality of reduction gears mounted in the case and configured to transmit a driving force of the driving motor to the push rod, wherein a length of the curved rack is greater than a width of the case in the front-to-rear direction.
