The present invention relates to purine derivatives, processes for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions, and their use in treating viral infections.

A method for activating TLR7 in a subject comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of wherein said subject is treated for a viral infection. 2. A method for inducing interferon production in a subject, comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of wherein said subject is treated for a viral infection. 3. A method of activating TLR7 in a subject treated for a viral infection comprising administering to said subject a pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, diluents or carriers. 4. A method of inducing interferon production in a subject treated for a viral infection comprising administering to said subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, diluents or carriers.
