A lip balm applicator product comprises upper and lower portions that are connectable together to define the applicator product being of a substantially spherical shape. A support platform is located in the lower portion and accommodates a quantity of lip balm having an arcuate surface. A lip balm comprises a composition of waxes and oils in solid form and formed to have an arcuate surface. The composition is formed to have the arcuate surface using a hot pour process. A method of manufacturing a lip balm comprises providing a receptacle having a concave arcuate surface. A lip balm material in a heated, liquefied phase is poured into the receptacle. Once poured, the heated, liquefied phase is allowed to solidify such that a surface of the solidified lip balm material has an arcuate configuration that corresponds to the concave arcuate surface of the receptacle.

We claim: 1. A lip balm applicator comprising: A) an upper portion comprising (i) an interior mold surface, and (ii) threads on an interior surface; B) a support platform comprising (i) threads on an exterior surface connectable to the threads on the interior surface of the upper portion, (ii) a circular rim, (iii) a plurality of spaced radial lip balm supports inside the circular rim, and (iv) a plurality of prongs; C) a lower portion snappingly connectable to the support platform by engaging at least one of the plurality of prongs; and D) a lip balm mounted on the support platform, the lip balm contacting at least top surfaces of the plurality of lip balm supports and bottom surfaces of the plurality of lip balm supports. 2. The lip balm applicator of claim 1 , wherein the support platform has an upper edge and a lower edge, and at least one of the radial lip balm supports is located between the upper edge and the lower edge of the support platform. 3. The lip balm applicator of claim 2 , wherein the lip balm extends above the upper edge of the support platform, but does not extend to the lower edge of the support platform. 4. The lip balm applicator of claim 3 , wherein the lip balm has an application surface, the application surface comprising at least a portion of the lip balm above the upper edge of the support platform. 5. The lip balm applicator of claim 4 , wherein the application surface of the lip balm is substantially dome-shaped. 6. The lip balm applicator of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of radial lip balm supports consist of six radial lip balm supports. 7. The lip balm applicator of claim 1 , wherein the support platform has an upper edge and a lower edge, and each of the radial lip balm supports are located between the upper edge and the lower edge of the support platform. 8. The lip balm applicator of claim 7 , wherein the lip balm extends above the upper edge of the support platform, but does not extend to the lower edge of the support platform. 9. The lip balm applicator of claim 8 , wherein the lip balm has an application surface, the application surface comprising at least a portion of the lip balm above the upper edge of the support platform. 10. The lip balm applicator of claim 9 , wherein the application surface of the lip balm is substantially dome-shaped. 11. The lip balm applicator of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of radial lip balm supports consist of six radial lip balm supports. 12. The lip balm applicator of claim 1 , wherein the lip balm comprises an oil and a wax. 13. The lip balm applicator of claim 12 , wherein the wax is beeswax. 14. The lip balm applicator of claim 13 , wherein the lip balm comprises petrolatum. 15. The lip balm applicator of claim 14 , wherein the lip balm comprises a colorant. 16. The lip balm applicator of claim 15 , wherein the lip balm comprises a moisturizer. 17. The lip balm applicator of claim 16 , wherein the lip balm comprises an ultraviolet protective agent. 18. The lip balm applicator of claim 1 , wherein the lip balm is formed by pouring liquid lip balm material through the support platform and solidifying the liquid lip balm material in the upper portion. 19. The lip balm applicator of claim 18 , wherein the support platform has an upper edge and a lower edge, and at least one of the radial lip balm supports is located between the upper edge and the lower edge of the support platform. 20. The lip balm applicator of claim 19 , wherein each of the radial lip balm supports are located between the upper edge and the lower edge of the support platform.
