A synchronous motor includes a stator that includes nine teeth that are divided into three phases, each of which includes three adjacent teeth, windings being concentratedly wound around the teeth. The circumferential width of a tip portion of a central tooth among three teeth forming each phase is made smaller than the circumferential widths of tip portions of both-side teeth, and the tooth thickness of the tip portion of the central tooth is made smaller than the tooth thicknesses of the tip portions of the both-side teeth.

The invention claimed is: 1. A 10-pole/9-slot synchronous motor, comprising: a stator that includes an annularly formed stator core and nine teeth divided into three phases, each of the three phases includes three adjacent teeth, a winding being concentratedly wound around each of the teeth, the three adjacent teeth includes a first tooth, which is disposed in a center among the three teeth forming each phase and two second teeth, which are disposed on both sides of the first tooth, wherein a circumferential width of an inner-diameter-side tip portion of the first tooth is smaller than a circumferential width of inner-diameter-side tip portions of the two second teeth, a radial thickness of the inner-diameter-side tip portion of the first tooth is smaller than a radial thickness of the inner-diameter-side tip portions of the second teeth, all radial lengths of all teeth are equal, all arc lengths between two adjacent teeth that extend on the annularly formed stator core are equal, all of the radial lengths are shorter than all of the arc lengths between two adjacent teeth, and each of the nine teeth are separated by equally-sized slot openings, circumferential widths of the equally-sized slot openings between the inner-diameter-side tip portions of the nine teeth are equal to each other, the circumferential widths of the equally-sized slot openings extend between the circumferential widths of the inner-diameter-side tip portions of each of the nine teeth. 2. The 10-pole/9-slot synchronous motor according to claim 1 , wherein a width from a slot opening between the first tooth and one of the second teeth to a slot opening between the first tooth and another of the second teeth is made larger than a mechanical angle of 32degrees and smaller than a mechanical angle of 40 degrees. 3. The 10-pole/9-slot synchronous motor according to claim 1 , wherein a width from a slot opening between the first tooth and one of the second teeth to a slot opening between the first tooth and another of the second teeth is made such that the width becomes a mechanical angle of 36 degrees. 4. The 10-pole/9-slot synchronous motor according to claim 1 , wherein each of the three adjacent teeth include a base portion that connects the inner-diameter-side tip portions of the first tooth and the second teeth to the stator core, and the base portion of each of the three adjacent teeth has a same circumferential width.
