A headlight assembly for assembly adjacent at least one skin component of a vehicle includes a housing supporting at least one light and a lens attached to the housing. The lens includes at least one attribute for engaging the at least one skin component. The attribute may be a pin or an aperture formed in the lens which may extend a distance from a surface of the lens for guiding the skin component. The skin component may be a grille and the attribute may restrict movement of the headlight assembly relative the grille in a Y-axis direction forming a margin therebetween. The attribute may be a channel including a bracket for guiding the skin component, for instance, a facia into the channel. The attribute may be a cavity formed in the lens for receiving an overlapping portion of the skin component, for example, a grille.

What is claimed: 1. A headlight assembly for assembly adjacent at least one skin component of a vehicle front end comprising: a housing supporting at least one light; and a lens attached to said housing, said lens including at least one attribute for engaging the at least one skin component, wherein said at least one attribute includes an aperture extending through said housing, wherein said at least one attribute is formed in said lens, said aperture is a hole having a countersunk portion and said countersunk portion is formed in said lens and extends a distance from a surface of said lens for guiding the at least one skin component. 2. The headlight assembly of claim 1 , wherein said at least one skin component is a grille and said at least one attribute restricts movement of the headlight assembly relative said grille in a Y-axis direction forming a margin between said headlight assembly and said grille. 3. The headlight assembly of claim 1 , wherein said at least one skin component is a facia and said at least one attribute restricts movement of said facia relative said headlight assembly in a Z-axis direction. 4. The headlight assembly of claim 1 , wherein said at least one attribute includes at least one clip for securing said at least one skin component. 5. The headlight assembly of claim 4 , wherein said at least one skin component is a grille and said at least one attribute restricts movement of said grille relative said headlight assembly. 6. The headlight assembly of claim 1 , wherein said at least one attribute is a cavity formed in said lens for receiving an overlapping portion of said at least one skin component. 7. The headlight assembly of claim 6 , wherein said at least one skin component is a grille and said at least one attribute restricts movement of said grille relative said headlight assembly.
