Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present invention provides a method of transmitting a broadcast signal. The method of transmitting a broadcast signal according to the present invention provides a system capable of supporting future broadcast services in environments supporting next-generation hybrid broadcast using terrestrial broadcast networks and the Internet. In addition, efficient signaling methods capable of covering both terrestrial broadcast networks and the Internet in environments supporting future hybrid broadcast are provided.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method of transmitting broadcast data in a broadcast transmitter, the method comprising: encoding service components for a broadcast service; interleaving the encoded service components; building at least one signal frame including the interleaved service components; modulating data in the built at least one signal frame by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) scheme; and transmitting a broadcast signal including the modulated data through a first delivery path, wherein the at least one signal frame further includes first signaling information for a fast service acquisition and second signaling information for acquisition of the service components, wherein the first signaling information includes first service identification information for identifying the broadcast service, status information for indicating whether the broadcast service is hidden, channel information of the broadcast service, service category information for indicating a type of the broadcast service, and bootstrapping information for access of the second signaling information, and wherein the second signaling information includes second service identification information for identifying the broadcast service and information to support service continuity of the broadcast service in handoff from the first delivery path to a second delivery path due to degradation of the broadcast signal. 2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the bootstrapping information includes destination Internet Protocol (IP) address information and destination User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port information of packets carrying the second signaling information. 3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the second signaling information further includes access information of the service components. 4. The method according to claim 3 , wherein the service components are carried in one or more Layered Coding Transport (LCT) channels comprising a Real-Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) session and wherein the access information includes destination IP address information and destination User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port information for the ROUTE session and transport session identification information for the LCT channels. 5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first signaling information further includes service guide (SG) bootstrapping information for acquisition of the SG. 6. A broadcast transmitter for transmitting broadcast data, the broadcast transmitter comprising: an encoder to outer encode service components for a broadcast service; an interleaver to interleave the encoded service components; a frame builder to build at least one signal frame including the interleaved service components; a modulator to modulate data in the built at least one signal frame by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) scheme; and a transmitter to transmit a broadcast signal including the modulated data through a first delivery path, wherein the at least one signal frame further includes first signaling information for a fast service acquisition and second signaling information for acquisition of the service components, wherein the first signaling information includes first service identification information for identifying the broadcast service, status information for indicating whether the broadcast service is hidden, channel information of the broadcast service, service category information for indicating a type of the broadcast service, and bootstrapping information for access of the second signaling information, and wherein the second signaling information includes second service identification information for identifying the broadcast service and information to support service continuity of the broadcast service in handoff from the first delivery path to a second delivery path due to degradation of the broadcast signal. 7. The broadcast transmitter according to claim 6 , wherein the bootstrapping information includes destination Internet Protocol (IP) address information and destination User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port information of packets carrying the second signaling information. 8. The broadcast transmitter according to claim 6 , wherein the second signaling information further includes access information of the service components. 9. The broadcast transmitter according to claim 8 , wherein the service components are carried in one or more Layered Coding Transport (LCT) channels comprising a Real-Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) session and wherein the access information includes destination IP address information and destination User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port information for the ROUTE session and transport session identification information for the LCT channels. 10. The broadcast transmitter according to claim 6 , wherein the first signaling information further includes service guide (SG) bootstrapping information for acquisition of the SG. 11. A method of receiving broadcast data in a broadcast receiver, the method comprising: receiving a broadcast signal including at least one signal frame through a first delivery path, wherein the at least one signal frame includes service components for a broadcast service, first signaling information for a fast service acquisition, and second signaling information for acquisition of the service components, wherein the first signaling information includes first service identification information for identifying the broadcast service, status information for indicating whether the broadcast service is hidden, channel information of the broadcast service, service category information for indicating a type of the broadcast service, and bootstrapping information for access of the second signaling information, and wherein the second signaling information includes second service identification information for identifying the broadcast service and information to support service continuity of the broadcast service in handoff from the first delivery path to a second delivery path due to degradation of the broadcast signal, demodulating the received broadcast signal by an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) scheme; de-interleaving the service components in the at least one signal frame of the demodulated broadcast signal; and decoding the de-interleaved service components. 12. The method according to claim 11 , wherein the bootstrapping information includes destination Internet Protocol (IP) address information and destination User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port information of packets carrying the second signaling information. 13. The method according to claim 11 , wherein the second signaling information further includes access information of the service components. 14. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the service components are carried in one or more Layered Coding Transport (LCT) channels comprising a Real-Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (ROUTE) session and wherein the access information includes destination IP address information and destination User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port information for the ROUTE session and transport session identification information for the LCT channels. 15. The method according to claim 11 , wherein the first signaling information further includes service guide (SG) bootstrapping information for acquisition of the SG. 16. A broadcast receiver for receiving broadcast data, the broadcast receiver comprising: a tuner to receive a broadcast signal including at least one signal frame through a first delivery path, wherein the at le
