Official abstract text for this publication.
This invention relates to a view angle adjustment mechanism. A view element tilting section is tiltably supported by the tilting support section. Upon a motor being driven, a nut member rotates together with a gear member, the nut member rises/falls along a male thread member, whereby the view element tilting section is tilted. At a barrel of the nut member, a protrusion is formed. The protrusion is fitted in a groove of the gear member and causes the nut member to rotate together with the gear member. At the tilting support section, a protrusion abutment portion is formed. When the nut member moves in a direction in which the nut member comes off from the male thread member, the protrusion abutment portion abuts on the protrusion and thereby prevents movement of the nut member.

What is claimed is: 1. A view angle adjustment mechanism in a view device, the view angle adjustment mechanism being configured to support a view element tilting section holding a view element by joining the view element tilting section to a tilting support section via a pivot so as to be capable of adjusting a view angle of the view element, wherein: the view angle adjustment mechanism includes a tilting actuator joined between the view element tilting section and the tilting support section, the tilting actuator causing a tilting force to act on the view element tilting section; the tilting actuator includes a male thread member, a nut member, a gear member and a motor; the male thread member is fixed, in an erected manner, to the tilting support section; the nut member is threadably connected to the male thread member and is capable of moving in an axial direction of the male thread member upon being rotated in a direction of rotation around an axis of the male thread member; a front end of the nut member is detachably fitted and joined to the view element tilting section at a position off the pivot of the view element tilting section; the gear member is disposed coaxially with the nut member at a position in an outer circumference of the nut member; the gear member is driven by the motor to rotate in the direction of rotation around the axis of the male thread member with movement of the gear member in the axial direction of the male thread member being prevented; the nut member includes a plurality of legs each including a claw formed at an inner circumferential surface thereof, the claw being threadably connected to the male thread member, and a cylindrical barrel that supports the legs; a protrusion that protrudes outward is formed at an outer circumferential surface of the barrel of the nut member; an axially-extending groove is formed at an inner circumferential surface of the gear member; the protrusion is fitted in the groove so as to be movable along the groove; and a protrusion abutment portion provided at the tilting support section such that when the nut member moves in a direction in which the nut member comes off of the male thread member, the protrusion abutment portion abuts the protrusion and prevents further movement of the nut member in the coming-off direction. 2. The view angle adjustment mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein a mutual positional relationship between the protrusion, the protrusion abutment portion and the male thread member is set so that the protrusion is disposed at a position above a top of the male thread member in a state where the protrusion abuts on the protrusion abutment portion. 3. The view angle adjustment mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion is joined to the barrel at a position of a height immediately above the legs in a lower portion of the barrel. 4. The view angle adjustment mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein: the tilting support section includes an actuator housing that receives the male thread member, the nut member, the gear member and the motor; the actuator housing includes an opening that allows the nut member to be inserted therethrough; and the protrusion abutment portion is formed by a structure part at a circumferential edge of the opening. 5. The view angle adjustment mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion is formed at each of four or more positions in a circumferential direction of the nut member. 6. The view angle adjustment mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein a length of the protrusion in an axial direction of the nut member is set to be longer than a length of the protrusion in a circumferential direction of the nut member. 7. The view angle adjustment mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion abutment portion is at least partially superposed above the protrusion such that the protrusion abutment portion and the protrusion overlap with each other in the coming-off direction.
