The invention relates to dyed particles of a bleach material that comprise a coating. The invention also relates to the use of the dyed particles in detergent compositions.

The invention claimed is: 1. A dyed particle comprising: a core comprising: 70-92.5% by weight of a bleach material comprising at least 60% PAP by weight; 5-20% by weight of a binder comprising isomalt; and 2.5-10% by weight of a disintegrant comprising a soy saccharide; and a coating; wherein the coating comprises mannitol, and wherein the coating comprises between 10 and 20% by weight of the particle core. 2. The dyed particle according to claim 1 , wherein dye is located in the coating. 3. The dyed particle according to claim 1 , wherein dye is located on the coating. 4. The dyed particle according to claim 1 , wherein the coating comprises two or more layers. 5. The dyed particle according to claim 4 , wherein dye is located in the outer layer of the coating. 6. The dyed particle according to claim 4 , wherein dye is located on the outer layer of the coating. 7. The dyed particle according to claim 1 , wherein the total weight of coating is between 2.5% and 60% by weight of the particle. 8. A detergent composition comprising at least one dyed particle of claim 1 . 9. A method comprising placing the detergent composition of claim 8 in an automatic dishwashing machine and washing dish wares. 10. The detergent composition according to claim 8 , wherein the detergent composition comprises one of a gel and a liquid. 11. The detergent composition according to claim 8 , wherein the detergent composition comprises a compressed tablet. 12. The detergent composition according to claim 8 , wherein the detergent composition comprises one or both of a powder and granules. 13. A contained detergent composition comprising: the detergent composition of claim 8 ; and a container within which the detergent composition is contained. 14. The contained detergent composition according to claim 13 , wherein the container is a flexible polyvinylalcohol (PVOH) film. 15. The detergent composition according to claim 13 , wherein the container is a rigid polyvinylalcohol (PVOH) casing.
