We claim: 1. A polymer filament comprising: a reaction product of a prepolymer solution including at least one macromer including at least three reactive moieties per molecule, a polymerizable pharmaceutical agent, and at least one iodine-containing molecule; wherein the at least one macromer is ethoxylated pentaerythritol, ethoxylated trimethylolpropane, or a combination thereof; wherein the polymerizable pharmaceutical agent has a structure wherein R 1 is wherein each R 2 and R 3 can independently be H, CH 3 , C 2 -C 6 alkyl, C 2 -C 6 substituted with a halogen or other C 1 -C 6 alkyl, NH 2 , CO 2 , CN, CF 3 , F, Cl, Br, I, CCl 3 , OH, or CH 2 OH; n is 1, 2, 3, or 4; m is 1, 2, 3, or 4; X 1 , X 2 , X 3 , and X 4 are each N or CH; and X 5 is O, CH 2 , or NH; and p is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. 2. The polymer filament of claim 1 , further comprising at least one monomer selected from t-butyl acrylamide, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, hydroxyl propyl acrylate, hydroxyl butylacrylate, or a combination thereof. 3. The polymer filament of claim 2 , wherein the at least one monomer has a concentration of between about 5% and about 40% w/w of the prepolymer solution. 4. The polymer filament of claim 1 , wherein the at least one macromer has a concentration of between about 15% and about 25% w/w of the prepolymer solution. 5. The polymer filament of claim 1 , wherein the at least one macromer has a molecular weight of between about 100 g/mole and about 5,000 g/mole. 6. The polymer filament of claim 1 , wherein the polymer filament does not include metallic support members. 7. The polymer filament of claim 1 , wherein the polymer filament is configured for delivery through a catheter. 8. A polymer filament comprising: a reaction product of a prepolymer solution including at least one macromer including at least three reactive moieties per molecule, a polymerizable pharmaceutical agent, and at least one iodine-containing molecule; wherein the at least one macromer is ethoxylated pentaerythritol, ethoxylated trimethylolpropane, or a combination thereof; and wherein the polymerizable pharmaceutical agent has a structure 9. The polymer filament of claim 8 , further comprising at least one monomer selected from t-butyl acrylamide, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, hydroxyl propyl acrylate, hydroxyl butylacrylate, or a combination thereof. 10. The polymer filament of claim 9 , wherein the at least one monomer has a concentration of between about 5% and about 40% w/w of the prepolymer solution. 11. The polymer filament of claim 8 , wherein the at least one macromer has a concentration of between about 15% and about 25% w/w of the prepolymer solution. 12. The polymer filament of claim 8 , wherein the at least one macromer has a molecular weight of between about 100 g/mole and about 5,000 g/mole. 13. The polymer filament of claim 8 , wherein the polymer filament does not include metallic support members. 14. The polymer filament of claim 8 , wherein the polymer filament is configured for delivery through a catheter.
