The present invention provides a compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; a method for manufacturing the compounds of the invention, and its therapeutic uses. What is claimed is: 1. A method to treat spinal muscular atrophy Type I comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of the compound according to the following formula or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 2. A method to treat spinal muscular atrophy Type II comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of the compound according to the following formula or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 3. A method to treat spinal muscular atrophy Type III comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of the compound according to the following formula or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 4. A method to treat spinal muscular atrophy Type IV comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of the compound according to the following formula or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 5. A compound which is 5-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2-(6-((2,2,6,6- tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)oxy)pyridazin-3-yl)phenol hydrochloride salt. 6. A method to treat spinal muscular atrophy Type I comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of the compound according claim 5 . 7. A method to treat spinal muscular atrophy Type II comprising administering to a subject in need of treatment thereof an effective amount of the compound according claim 5 . 8.
