A printing press arrangement has a plurality of processing stations for processing sheets. The plurality of processing stations are arranged one after another in a transport direction of the sheets for in-line processing of the sheets. At least one of the processing stations is configured as a non-impact printing device. A transfer device, which is arranged upstream of the active region of the non-impact printing device, is provided for transferring the sheets from a first processing station, which is arranged upstream of the non-impact printing device, to the non-impact printing device. The transfer device aligns, in each case, at least one of the axial register and the circumferential register and the diagonal register of each of the sheets in register relative to the printing position of the non-impact printing device.

The invention claimed is: 1. A press assembly having a plurality of processing stations for processing sheets, wherein the plurality of processing stations are arranged in succession in a transport direction of the sheets for the inline processing of these sheets, wherein at least a first one of this plurality of processing stations is a non-impact printing unit, wherein a transfer unit, located upstream of an operating area of the non-impact printing unit, is provided for transferring the sheets from a first processing station located upstream of the non-impact printing unit to the non-impact printing unit, wherein the transfer unit aligns each of the sheets true to register in terms of its axial register relative to a printing position of the non-impact printing unit, characterized in that, in addition to the axial register, the transfer unit aligns each of the sheets true to register in terms of at least one of its circumferential register and in terms of its diagonal register relative to the printing position of the non-impact printing unit, wherein a second processing station located upstream of the non-impact printing unit in the transport direction of the sheets is embodied as one of a sheet feeder and as a magazine feeder, wherein a third processing station located between the second processing station and the non-impact printing unit is embodied as a first coating unit, wherein the first coating unit is embodied as one of a primer application unit and as a cold foil application unit and as a varnishing unit, and further wherein a first dryer is located between the first coating unit and the non-impact printing unit. 2. The press assembly according to claim 1 , characterized in that the transfer unit has a suction drum that holds each of the sheets by means of suction air, and wherein a control unit for controlling the suction drum is provided. 3. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that the suction air is pulsed by the control unit. 4. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that at least one stop that protrudes into a transport plane of a sheet being processed is provided, wherein the suction drum aligns each of the sheets on this stop, each true to register in relation to the printing position of the non-impact printing unit. 5. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that the suction drum aligns each of the sheets to be fed to the operating area of the non-impact printing unit, each true to register in relation to the printing position of the non-impact printing unit, by means of an axial displacement. 6. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that the suction drum consists of a plurality of suction rings arranged parallel to one another on a common shaft. 7. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that an operating width of the suction drum, oriented in the axial direction of said suction drum, is adjusted by the control unit based on the format of the sheets. 8. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that the suction drum has a first drive for its circumferential movement and a second drive for its axial movement, wherein the circumferential movement and the axial movement are controlled independently of one another by the control unit. 9. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that a first sensor is provided, which is connected to the control unit and is situated upstream of the suction drum in the transport direction of the sheets, wherein at least the axial movement of the suction drum is controlled by means of a position signal that is supplied to the control unit by the first sensor. 10. The press assembly according to claim 9 , characterized in that the first sensor is embodied as one of an optical sensor and as a line sensor and as a CCD line sensor. 11. The press assembly according to claim 2 , characterized in that a second sensor is provided, which is connected to the control unit and is situated upstream of the first sensor in the transport direction of the sheets, wherein the second sensor detects a leading edge of the respective sheets in the transport direction of the sheets. 12. The press assembly according to claim 11 , characterized in that the second sensor is embodied as one of an optical sensor and as a reflex scanner and as a light sensor. 13. The press assembly according to claim 1 , characterized in that an alignment unit is located between the non-impact printing unit and a fourth processing station located downstream of the non-impact printing unit in the transport direction of the sheets, wherein this alignment unit aligns each of the sheets true to register, at least in terms of one of its axial register and in terms of its circumferential register, relative to a processing position of the fourth processing station located downstream of the non-impact printing unit. 14. The press assembly according to claim 1 , characterized in that the non-impact printing unit has a plurality of individually controlled inkjet printers along the transport path of the sheets.
