Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A golf bag includes a collapsible sub-assembly including a divider top and a base, a plurality of first snap-fit connectors provided around a portion of an outer perimeter of the divider top, and a flat having a divider top end opposite a base end, an interior side, and an exterior side. The flat includes a plurality of second snap-fit connectors provided along a portion of the divider top end. The flat attaches to the sub-assembly by mating snap-fit engagement of the plurality of first snap-fit connectors around the divider top with the plurality of second snap-fit connectors along the divider top end.

The invention claimed is: 1. A golf bag comprising: a divider top; a base having a bottom face and a side wall; a stand assembly that includes a plurality of legs, the stand assembly being adjustable between a first configuration in which the legs are retracted, and a second configuration in which the legs are deployed; a divider sleeve including a first end opposite a second end, the first end coupled to the divider top, and the second end being spaced a first distance from the base; wherein the divider sleeve includes at least one connection member configured to couple the divider sleeve to the base; and wherein the at least one connection member includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion configured to couple to the second portion to form a self-fastening engagement. 2. The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the at least one connection member is configured to couple the divider sleeve to the side wall of the base. 3. The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein in response to the stand assembly being in the first configuration, the second end of the divider sleeve is spaced the first distance from the base, and in response to the stand assembly being in the second configuration, the second end of the divider sleeve is spaced a second distance from the base that is less than the first distance. 4. A golf bag comprising: a divider top; a base; and a divider sleeve including a first end opposite a second end, the first end of the divider sleeve coupled to the divider top, and the second end of the divider sleeve being spaced a first distance from the base; wherein the divider sleeve includes at least one connection member configured to couple the divider sleeve to the base; and wherein the at least one connection member includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion configured to couple to the second portion to form a self-fastening engagement. 5. The golf bag of claim 4 , wherein the base includes a side wall that defines a perimeter of the base. 6. The golf bag of claim 5 , wherein the side wall defines at least one slot. 7. The golf bag of claim 6 , wherein the connection member is received by the slot. 8. The golf bag of claim 4 , further comprising a stay having a first end opposite a second end, the first end coupled to the divider top, and the second end coupled to the base. 9. The golf bag of claim 8 , further comprising a first hinge coupled at the first end of the stay, and a second hinge coupled to the second end of the stay. 10. The golf bag of claim 9 , wherein the divider top is coupled to the first hinge and the base is coupled to the second hinge. 11. The golf bag of claim 8 , further comprising a stand assembly that includes a first leg and a second leg, each leg pivotally coupled to the divider top. 12. The golf bag of claim 11 , wherein the first and second legs are configured to pivot relative to the divider top from a first configuration to a second configuration. 13. The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein in the first configuration, the divider sleeve is spaced the first distance from the base. 14. The golf bag of claim 13 , wherein in the first configuration, the first and second legs are retracted. 15. The golf bag of claim 13 , wherein in the second configuration, the divider sleeve is spaced a second distance from the base, the second distance being less than the first distance. 16. The golf bag of claim 13 , wherein in the second configuration, the first and second legs are deployed. 17. A collapsible golf bag kit comprising: a sub-assembly including: a divider top, a base, a divider sleeve including a first end opposite a second end, the first end of the divider sleeve coupled to the divider top, and the second end of the divider sleeve being spaced a first distance from the base; and a flat including a divider top end opposite a base end, the flat configured to couple to the sub-assembly via the divider top end being configured to couple to the divider top, and the base end being configured to couple to the base, wherein the sub-assembly is configured to be positioned into a shipping configuration such that the kit does not exceed 2,040 cubic centimeters; wherein the divider sleeve includes at least one connection member configured to couple the divider sleeve to the base; and wherein the at least one connection member includes a first portion and a second portion, the first portion configured to couple to the second portion to form a self-fastening engagement. 18. The collapsible golf bag kit of claim 17 , further comprising a stay having a first end opposite a second end, the first end coupled to the divider top, and the second end coupled to the base; a first hinge coupled at the first end of the stay, and a second hinge coupled to the second end of the stay. 19. The collapsible golf bag kit of claim 18 , wherein the divider top is coupled to the first hinge and the base is coupled to the second hinge. 20. The collapsible golf bag kit of claim 17 , further comprising a stand assembly that includes a first leg and a second leg, each leg pivotally coupled to the divider top.
