A method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products is provided. In an embodiment, the method includes folding an absorbent sheet inwardly along a first folding line to form a first inner panel, folding the absorbent sheet inwardly along a second folding line, substantially parallel to the first folding line, to form a second inner panel, folding the absorbent sheet along a third folding line substantially perpendicular to the first and the second folding lines to form a first outer panel and a second outer panel, sandwiching the first and the second inner panels therebetween to obtain one of the absorbent sheet products, and inserting at least a section of at least one of the first and the second outer panels of each one of the absorbent sheet products between the first and the second outer panels of an adjacent one of absorbent sheet products of the stack.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products into a stack, the method comprising, for each of the absorbent sheet products of the stack: folding an absorbent sheet inwardly only twice parallel to a first axis to define a first inner panel and a second inner panel folded toward each other, said folding comprising folding the absorbent sheet inwardly along a first folding line, substantially parallel to the first axis, to form the first inner panel, and folding the absorbent sheet inwardly along a second folding line, substantially parallel to the first axis and spaced-apart from the first folding line, to form the second inner panel; folding the absorbent sheet along a third folding line substantially perpendicular to the first axis to form a first outer panel and a second outer panel, the first and the second outer panels sandwiching the first and the second inner panels therebetween to obtain one of the absorbent sheet products; and inserting at least a section of at least one of the first and the second outer panels of each one of the absorbent sheet products between the first and the second outer panels of an adjacent one of the absorbent sheet products of the stack. 2. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein folding the absorbent sheet along the first and the second folding lines to form the first and the second inner panels further comprises positioning the first and the second folding lines to define a gap between a free outer edge of the first and the second inner panels. 3. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein folding the absorbent sheet along the first and the second folding lines to form the first and the second inner panels further comprises positioning the first and the second folding lines to at least partially superpose the first and the second inner panels. 4. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein folding the absorbent sheet along the first and the second folding lines to form the first and the second inner panels further comprises positioning the first and the second folding lines to superpose the first inner panel over a width of the second inner panel. 5. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein folding the absorbent sheet along the first and the second folding lines to form the first and the second inner panels further comprises positioning the first and the second folding lines such that the first and the second inner panels overlap entirely. 6. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein folding the absorbent sheet along a third folding line to form the first and the second outer panels further comprises configuring the third folding line to bisect the absorbent sheet. 7. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein folding the absorbent sheet along the third folding line to form the first and the second outer panels further comprises positioning the third folding line to divide the absorbent sheet in outer panels of unequal length. 8. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 7 , further comprising folding the absorbent sheet along a fourth folding line substantially perpendicular to the first and the second folding lines and substantially parallel to the third folding line to define a third outer panel. 9. The method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products of claim 1 , wherein the absorbent sheet is folded only once perpendicular to the first axis. 10. A method of stacking a plurality of absorbent sheet products into a stack, the method comprising, for each of the absorbent sheet products of the stack: folding an absorbent sheet inwardly along a first folding line to form a first inner panel; folding the absorbent sheet inwardly along a second folding line, substantially parallel to the first folding line, to form a second inner panel; folding the absorbent sheet along a third folding line substantially perpendicular to the first and the second folding lines to form a first outer panel and a second outer panel, sandwiching the first and the second inner panels therebetween to obtain one of the absorbent sheet products, wherein folding the absorbent sheet along a third folding line to form the first and the second outer panels further comprises configuring the third folding line to bisect the absorbent sheet; and inserting at least a section of at least one of the first and the second outer panels of each one of the absorbent sheet products between the first and the second outer panels of an adjacent one of the absorbent sheet products of the stack.
