What is claimed is: 1. An apparatus comprising: a motor comprising: a rotor; and a stator, where the rotor is located at least partially in a rotor receiving area of the stator, where the stator comprises at least one coil winding and a plurality of teeth, where the at least one coil winding is located on at least some of the teeth, where the teeth comprise a first set of the teeth and a second set of the teeth, where the teeth of the first set of teeth are longer in a radial direction from the rotor receiving area than the teeth of the second set of teeth, where the stator comprises a stator member forming the teeth, where a base of each of the teeth is located at a portion of the stator member which forms an outer perimeter wall of the stator member, where slots between the teeth each comprise at least one of a general triangular shape and a general quadrilateral shape, and where a portion of the outer perimeter wall between a side of each shape, adjacent the outer perimeter wall, and an outer side of the outer perimeter wall has a thickness which is substantially uniform. 2. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the outer perimeter wall has a shape as one of a substantial oval shape, a substantial triangle shape, a substantial square shape, a substantial rectangle shape or a substantial polygon shape. 3. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the stator member comprises at least one component receiving area spaced from the rotor receiving area, where the at least one component receiving area is sized and shaped to have a component movably located therein. 4. An apparatus as in claim 3 where the at least one component receiving area has a center axis which is parallel to a center axis of the rotor receiving area. 5. An apparatus as in claim 4 where the at least one component receiving area has an open side at a lateral side perimeter wall of the stator member. 6. An apparatus as in claim 4 where the at least one component receiving area is substantially closed except at top and bottom sides of the stator member. 7. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the teeth extend radially inward towards the rotor receiving area, and where the teeth are not located on two opposite sides of the rotor receiving area along arcs of about 40-100 degrees. 8. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the at least one coil winding is located on the first set of teeth and not located on the second set of teeth. 9. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the at least one coil winding is located on the first and second sets of teeth, and where the at least one coil winding comprises more winding turns on the first set of teeth than the second set of teeth. 10. An apparatus as in claim 1 where a gap is provided between the stator and the rotor at the rotor receiving area, where the gap has a shape which is not uniformly cylindrical. 11. An apparatus as in claim 10 where the rotor comprises a first top side member and a second bottom side member which have substantial cone shapes orientated in opposite directions. 12. An apparatus as in claim 1 where at least some of the teeth taper in two orthogonal directions. 13. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the outer perimeter wall is at outer ends of the teeth and respective shoes are at inner ends of the teeth, where top and bottom sides of the teeth are recessed relative to top and bottom sides of the outer perimeter and the shoes. 14. An apparatus as in claim 13 where the stator member is a one-piece member. 15. An apparatus as in claim 1 further comprising: a drive shaft extending from the rotor; and a robot arm connected to the drive shaft. 16. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the at least one coil winding is located on the first and second sets of teeth, where the at least one coil winding comprises more winding turns on the first set of teeth than the second set of teeth, and where the at least one coil winding comprises thicker wire on the first set of teeth than the second set of teeth. 17. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the stator member has a length between two first opposite sides of the stator member which is longer than a width between two second opposite sides of the stator member, where the second opposite sides each have two generally flat exterior surfaces connected a middle curved exterior surface, and where the first opposite sides are smaller than the second opposite sides. 18. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the at least one coil winding comprises a first coil winding on the first set of teeth and a second coil winding on the second set of teeth, where the first coil winding on the first set of teeth comprises more winding turns on the first set of teeth than winding turns of the second coil winding on the second set of teeth, where the first and second coil windings are not wound on any of the same teeth. 19. An apparatus as in claim 1 where at least one of the slots between the plurality of teeth comprise at least one of a general trapezoid shape, a general irregular quadrilateral shape and a general irregular polygon shape. 20. An apparatus as in claim 1 where the outer perimeter wall of the stator member between the base of the teeth and an exterior surface of the outer perimeter wall has a general oval shape with curved exterior surfaces at two short sides of the general oval shape and an exterior curved middle portion at each of two long sides of the general oval shape. 21. A method comprising: forming a stator member having a plurality of teeth, where the stator comprises a rotor receiving area, where the plurality of teeth comprise a first set of the teeth and a second set of the teeth, where the teeth of the first set of teeth are longer in a radial direction from the rotor receiving area than the teeth of the second set of teeth, where a base of each of the plurality of teeth is located at a portion of the stator member which forms an outer perimeter wall of the stator member, where slots between the teeth each comprise one of a general triangular shape and a general quadrilateral shape, and where a portion of the outer perimeter wall between a side of each shape, adjacent the outer perimeter wall, and an outer side of the outer perimeter wall has a thickness which is substantially uniform; and locating at least one coil winding on at least some of the plurality of teeth. 22.
