What is claimed is: 1. An electrical cable connector to mount within an electrical box having a plurality of walls, the electrical cable connector comprising: a first wall to be mounted to one of the plurality of walls of the electrical box, the first wall having at least one cable opening; a second wall separated from the first wall by a third wall joined between the first wall and the second wall, the second wall being substantially parallel with the first wall so as to define a space to receive an electrical cable passing through the at least one cable opening, the second wall having at least one wire opening that permits electrical wires of the electrical cable to exit the space while the second wall prevents sheathing of the electrical cable from passing through the at least one wire opening; and at least one cable retaining member having a base portion positioned adjacent the first wall, and at least one leg extending from the base portion through an opening in the third wall into the space such that when the electrical cable passes through the at least one cable opening into the space, the at least one leg extending into the space can engage the electrical cable and hold the electrical cable in the space while preventing withdrawal of the electrical cable through the at least one cable opening. 2. The electrical cable connector according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one leg comprises a first leg and a second leg. 3. The electrical cable connector according to claim 2 , wherein the first leg extends from a first end of the base portion into the space and the second leg extends from a second end of the base portion into the space via the opening in the third wall. 4. The electrical cable connector according to claim 2 , wherein the first leg is substantially parallel to the second leg. 5. The electrical cable connector according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one leg has a free end portion to engage the electrical cable. 6. The electrical cable connector according to claim 5 , wherein the free end portion includes an arcuate portion to substantially conform to an outer periphery of the electrical cable. 7. An electrical cable connector to mount within an electrical box having a plurality of walls, the electrical cable connector comprising: a front wall to position adjacent to an interior side of one of the walls of the electrical box, the front wall having a mounting member used to secure the cable connector to the interior side of one of the walls of the electrical box; a rear wall separated from the front wall so as to define a space between the front, the rear wall and a top wall between the front and rear walls; a top wall between the front wall and the rear wall; wherein the front wall includes at least one cable opening dimensioned to permit an electrical cable to pass into the space; wherein the rear wall includes at least one wire opening that permits electrical wires within the electrical cable to exit the space while the rear wall prevents sheathing of the electrical cable from passing through the at least one wire opening; and at least one cable retaining member comprising: a base portion joined to the top wall; and at least one leg extending from the base portion into the space through an opening in the top wall such that when the electrical cable passes through the at least one cable opening into the space, the at least one leg extending into the space can engage the electrical cable and hold the electrical cable in the space while preventing withdrawal of the electrical cable through the at least one cable opening. 8. The electrical cable connector according to claim 7 , wherein the at least one leg comprises a first leg extending from one end of the base portion into the space and a second leg extending from another end of the base portion into the space via the opening in the top wall. 9. The electrical cable connector according to claim 7 , wherein the top wall includes at least one mounting bracket and the base portion is joined to the at least one mounting bracket. 10. The electrical cable connector according to claim 9 , wherein the at least one mounting bracket comprises a first mounting bracket and a second mounting bracket. 11. The electrical cable connector according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one cable retaining member comprises a first cable retaining member and a second cable retaining member. 12. The electrical cable connector according to claim 11 , wherein the base portion of each of the first and second cable retaining members are joined to one of the first and second mounting brackets. 13. The electrical cable connector according to claim 12 , wherein joining the base portion to one of the first and second mounting brackets comprises releasably securing the base portion one of the first and second mounting brackets. 14. The electrical cable connector according to claim 7 , wherein joining the base portion to one of the first and second mounting brackets comprises forming the base portion into the one of the first and second mounting brackets. 15. The electrical cable connector according to claim 7 , wherein the mounting member comprises one of an aperture and a threaded aperture. 16. The electrical cable connector according to claim 7 , wherein joining the base portion to the top wall comprises releasably securing the base portion to the top wall. 17. The electrical cable connector according to claim 7 , wherein joining the base portion to the top wall comprises forming the base portion into the top wall. 18. An electrical cable connector to mount within an electrical box having a plurality of walls, the electrical cable connector comprising: a first wall; a second wall opposite from the first wall by a third wall having a first end secured to the first wall and a second end secured to the second wall, wherein the space between the first wall, second wall and the third wall is capable of receiving an electrical cable, wherein the first wall includes at least one cable opening dimensioned to permit the electrical cable to pass into the space, and wherein the second wall includes at least one wire opening that permits electrical wires of the electrical cable to exit the space while the second wall prevents sheathing of the electrical cable from passing through the at least one wire opening; and a cable retaining member having a base portion joined to the third wall and two substantially parallel legs extending from the base portion through an opening in the third wall into the space such that when the electrical cable passes through the at least one cable opening in the first wall into the space, at least one of the two legs extending into the space via the opening in the third wall will engage the electrical cable and hold the electrical cable in the space while preventing withdrawal of the electrical cable through the at least one cable opening. 19. The electrical cable connector according to claim 18 , wherein a first of the two legs extends from a first end of the base portion into the space and a second of the two legs extends from a second end of the base portion into the space. 20. The electrical cable connector according to claim 18 , wherein joining the base portion to the third wall comprises releasably securing the base portion to the third wall. 21. The electrical cable connector according to claim 18 , wherein joining the base portion to the third wall comprises forming the base portion into the third.
