An exemplary container for consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box. The outer box has a hinged top configured to provide access to an inner volume of the outer box. The inner box is a laminate of paperboard and an inner liner and pre-cut opening configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner box. A pull tab covers the opening. The pull tab includes a first adhesive that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner box and a second adhesive that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner box and the outer box.

What is claimed is: 1. A container for consumer goods comprising: a rigid outer box having a hinged lid configured to provide access to an inner volume of the outer box; a rigid inner box assembled from an inner box blank having a top front panel separated from a top panel by a first transverse fold line, a back panel separated from the top panel by a second transverse fold line, a bottom panel separated from the back panel by a third transverse fold line, and a bottom front panel separated from the bottom panel by a fourth transverse fold line, the top panel and top front panel having a pre-cut opening therein configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner box, the inner box blank comprising a plurality of layers including a paperboard layer and bundle wrap as an innermost layer, the bundle wrap comprising a metal foil layer adhered to the paperboard layer and a paper layer adhered to the metal foil layer, the paper layer facing the consumer goods in the inner box; and a pull tab covering the opening, the pull-tab having a first adhesive on an inner surface thereof that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner box, a second adhesive on the inner surface at a first end of the pull tab that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner box and a third adhesive on an outer surface at a second end of the pull tab that permanently adheres the pull tab to the hinged lid of the outer box such that opening of the hinged lid uncovers the opening and closing the hinged lid covers the opening with the pull tab, wherein the pull tab includes a layer of material wherein the layer of material is a piece of bundle wrap on the inner surface sized to cover the opening in the inner box, the piece of bundle wrap adhered to a product side of the pull tab by adhesive. 2. The container of claim 1 , wherein the piece of bundle wrap is sized to fully cover and extend past edges of the opening in the inner box with exposed sections of the first adhesive located between an outer periphery of the piece of bundle wrap and an outer periphery of the pull tab.
