A sweeper roller is provided for forming a film, the sweeper roller having helical grooves provided to the surface, wherein the ratio of the surface area of the helical groove portion is 30% or less of the surface area of the sweeper roller, and the width of the helical grooves in the axial direction of the sweeper roller is 25 mm or greater. Provided thereby are: a sweeper roller that does not generate air banks and sweeper marks during high-speed casting and when forming a thick film; a plastic film manufacturing device that uses the sweeper roller; and a manufacturing method.

The invention claimed is: 1. A sweeper roller for film production having spirally grooved surface comprising a plurality of spiral grooves, wherein the proportion of a surface area of the plurality of spiral grooves to a surface area of the sweeper roller is 30% or less, and the width of each of the plurality of spiral grooves measured in the axis direction of the sweeper roller is 25 mm or more. 2. A sweeper roller for film production as described in claim 1 , wherein the spiral grooves are separated on the surface of the sweeper roller at intervals of 100 mm or less in a rotation direction of the sweeper roller. 3. A sweeper roller for film production as described claim 1 , wherein the spiral grooves make an angle of 40° or more and less than 90° to a rotation direction of the sweeper roller. 4. A sweeper roller for film production as described in claim 1 wherein the plurality of spiral grooves exist in the surface of the sweeper roller with no crossings among the spiral grooves. 5. A plastic film production apparatus comprising a T-die, a cooling roller, and the sweeper roller for film production as described in claim 1 , wherein the T-die is positioned for discharging a molten resin on the cooling roller to form a molten resin film, and wherein the sweeper roller is positioned to come in contact with the molten resin while the molten resin is in contact with and is separated from the cooling roller.
