Systems and methods are provided for collecting information regarding flight restriction regions. The information regarding flight restriction regions may be approved of, or the identity of a user inputting such information may be verified. The designated flight restriction regions may be displayed on a three-dimensional map and be utilized by UAVs, for example, in conjunction with flight response measures.

What is claimed is: 1. A system for designating a flight restriction region, said system comprising: one or more processors individually or collectively configured to: receive, from a user via a user input device, an input configured to designate one or more parameters of the flight restriction region, wherein the one or more parameters include a location associated with a private residence; and verify that the user is authorized to designate the location associated with the private residence as the flight restriction region. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to determine a three-dimensional volume of the flight restriction region if the user is verified as being authorized to designate the location as the flight restriction region, wherein the three-dimensional space depends on the parameters of the flight restriction regions. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the location of the flight restriction region is (1) a global coordinate of the flight restriction region, or (2) a street address of the flight restriction region. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to authorize the user to designate the private residence as the flight restriction region when the user is (1) an owner of the private residence, or (2) a resident of the private residence. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to authenticate an identity of the user. 6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the identity of the user is authenticated using a password, phrase, code entered by the user, or biometric input from the user. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to confirm that the user exercises control over the flight restriction region. 8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the user is determined to exercise control over the flight restriction region when the user is an owner of the flight restriction region. 9. The system of claim 7 , wherein the user is determined to exercise control over the flight restriction region when the user is a tenant or resident of the flight restriction region. 10. The system of claim 7 , wherein the user is determined to exercise control over the flight restriction region when the user is conveyed the authority by a governing entity. 11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are configured to receive an electronic transmission from a third party that indicates that the user is authorized in order to verify that the location is designated as the flight restriction region. 12. The system of claim 1 , further comprising one or more memory units individually or collectively configured to store the location of the flight restriction region, when the user is verified as being authorized to designate the location as the flight restriction region. 13. A method of designating a flight restriction region, said method comprising: receiving, from a user via a user input device, an input configured to designate one or more parameters of the flight restriction region, wherein the one or more parameters include a location associated with a private residence; and verifying, with aid of one or more processors, that the user is authorized to designate the location associated with the private residence as the flight restriction region. 14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising determining a three-dimensional volume of the flight restriction region if the user is verified as being authorized to designate the location as the flight restriction region, wherein the three-dimensional space depends on the parameters of the flight restriction region. 15. The method of claim 13 , wherein the user is authorized to designate the private residence as the flight restriction region when the user is an owner or a resident of the private residence. 16. A non-transitory computer readable medium containing program instructions for designating a flight restriction region, said computer readable medium comprising: program instructions for receiving, from a user via a user input device, one or more parameters of the flight restriction region, wherein the one or more parameters include a location associated with a private residence; and program instructions for verifying, with aid of one or more processors, that the user is authorized to designate the location associated with the private residence as the flight restriction region. 17. The computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein program instructions for verifying that the user is authorized includes program instructions for confirming that the user exercises control over the flight restriction region. 18. The computer readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the user is determined to exercise control over the flight restriction region when the user is an owner, tenant, or resident of the flight restriction region.
