Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A medical tube is disclosed, which can include a main body in which a distal portion of a tubular proximal separable piece is detachably connected to a proximal portion of a tubular distal separable piece; and a state maintaining mechanism for maintaining a connected state of the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece. In addition, the main body is inserted into a body starting from the distal separable piece side, and is disposed inside the body in a state in which a distal end and a proximal end thereof are exposed outside of the body. In addition, the state maintaining mechanism can include a string which is disposed inside the main body and interlocks the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece, and the connected state can be released by cutting the string.

What is claimed is: 1. A medical tube to be used in introducing into a living body a belt-shaped elongated article for treatment of a pelvic organ, the medical tube comprising: a main body in which a distal portion of a tubular proximal separable piece is detachably connected to a proximal portion of a tubular distal separable piece; and a state maintaining mechanism maintaining a connected state of the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece, the state maintaining mechanism having an interlock member, which is disposed within the main body and interlocks the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece, and wherein the interlock member is a string, which is inserted into and passed through two or more holes in the proximal portion of the distal separable piece and at least one hole in a proximal portion of the proximal separable piece. 2. The medical tube according to claim 1 , wherein the main body has a section curved in a circular arc shape. 3. The medical tube according to claim 1 , wherein the main body is tubular in shape and has an internal space so configured that the belt-shaped elongated article can be inserted in the internal space and passed through the internal space. 4. The medical tube according to claim 1 , wherein the main body has a flat shape as a cross-sectional shape at least at a central portion in a longitudinal direction of the main body. 5. A medical tube assembly comprising: the medical tube according to claim 4 ; and a urethral-insertion section, which is configured to be inserted into a urethra, wherein in a state in which the main body is disposed inside the living body, the central portion is located between the urethral-insertion section and a vagina, and a major axis direction of the central portion is substantially parallel to the urethral-insertion section. 6. The medical tube according to claim 1 , wherein the connected state is released by cutting the interlock member. 7. The medical tube according to claim 1 , wherein the distal portion of the proximal separable piece is inserted in the proximal portion of the distal separable piece, whereby the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece are connected. 8. A medical tube assembly comprising: the medical tube according to claim 1 ; and an elongated insertion section, which is inserted into the main body, wherein the medical tube assembly is used in a state in which the insertion section is inserted into the main body. 9. The medical tube according to claim 1 , wherein the string is arranged on an outer portion of the main body between the two or more holes in the proximal portion of the distal separable piece. 10. The medical tube according to claim 9 , wherein the main body has an inner circumferential portion located at an inner circumferential edge and having a minimum radius of curvature and an outer circumferential portion located at an outer circumferential edge and having a maximum radius of curvature, and wherein the two or more holes in the proximal two or more holes in the proximal portion of the distal separable piece and the at least one hole in the proximal portion of the proximal separable piece are located near the inner circumferential portion. 11. A medical tube comprising: a tubular main body having a curved section and provided with an internal space in which a belt-shaped elongated article for treatment of urinary incontinence can be inserted, wherein the main body includes a distal portion of a tubular proximal separable piece, which is detachably connected to a proximal portion of a tubular distal separable piece; and an interlock member, which is disposed within the main body and interlocks the tubular distal separable piece and the tubular proximal separable piece, and wherein the interlock member is a string, which is inserted into and passed through two or more holes in the proximal portion of the tubular distal separable piece and at least one hole in a proximal portion of the tubular proximal separable piece. 12. The medical tube according to claim 11 , wherein the string is arranged on an outer portion of the main body between the two or more holes in the proximal portion of the tubular distal separable piece. 13. A method of introducing a belt-shaped elongated article for treatment of a pelvic organ into a living body with a medical tube, the medical tube having a main body defined by a distal portion of a tubular proximal separable piece detachably connected to a proximal portion of a tubular distal separable piece, the medical tube further having a state maintaining mechanism maintaining a connected state of the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece, the state maintaining mechanism having an interlock member, which is disposed within the main body and interlocks the distal separable piece and the proximal separable piece, wherein the interlock member is a string, which is inserted into and passed through two or more holes in the proximal portion of the distal separable piece and at least one hole in a proximal portion of the proximal separable piece, wherein the method comprises: inserting the main body of the medical tube into the living body starting from the distal separable piece side; and disposing the main body of the medical tube inside the living body in a state in which a distal end and a proximal end of the main body are exposed outside of the living body. 14. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the main body has a section curved in a circular arc shape. 15. The method according to claim 14 , wherein the main body is tubular in shape and has an internal space; and the method further comprises: inserting the belt-shaped elongated article in the internal space and passing the belt-shaped elongated article through the internal space. 16. The method according to claim 15 , wherein the main body has a flat shape as a cross-sectional shape at least at a central portion in a longitudinal direction of the main body. 17. The method according to claim 16 , comprising: inserting a urethral-insertion section into a urethra; and locating the central portion between the urethral-insertion section and a vagina such that the main body is disposed inside the living body and a major axis direction of the central portion is substantially parallel to the urethral-insertion section. 18. The method according to claim 13 , comprising: cutting the interlock member to release the connected state. 19. The method according to claim 13 , comprising: arranging the string on an outer portion of the main body between the two or more holes in the proximal portion of the distal separable piece.
