Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A container system includes a first container including a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top, with a plurality of indented recesses formed in the bottom wall. A first lid closes the open top of the first container. A second container includes a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top. A second lid closes the open top of the second container, with a push indicator structure formed at a center portion of the second lid, and with a plurality of registration bumps formed about the push indicator structure. The first container is stackable on the second lid such that (i) each of the registration bumps in the second lid is aligned with an adjacent one of the recesses in the bottom wall of the first container and (ii) surfaces of the registration bumps are spaced from surfaces of the adjacent recesses.

We claim: 1. A container system comprising: a first container including a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top, with a plurality of indented recesses being formed in the bottom wall; a first lid configured to close the open top of the first container; a second container including a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top; and a second lid configured to close the open top of the second container, with a push indicator structure being formed at a center portion of the second lid, and with a plurality of registration bumps being formed about the push indicator structure, wherein the first container is stackable on the second lid such that (i) each of the registration bumps in the second lid is aligned with an adjacent one of the indented recesses in the bottom wall of the first container and (ii) surfaces of the registration bumps are spaced from surfaces of the adjacent recesses. 2. The container system according to claim 1 , wherein the registration bumps are formed symmetrically about the push indicator structure in the second lid. 3. The container system according to claim 1 , further comprising: a third container including a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls, and an open top, with an indented recess being formed in the bottom wall; and a third lid configured to close the open top of the third container, wherein the third container is stackable on the second lid, with the registration bumps of the second lid being received in the indented recess in the bottom wall of the third container. 4. The container system according to claim 1 , wherein the second lid includes a surface, with the push indicator structure being indented relative to the surface, and with the registration bumps being raised relative to the surface. 5. A container system comprising: a first container including a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top, with an indented recess being formed in the bottom wall; a first lid configured to close the open top of the first container; a second container including a bottom wall, at least one sidewall, and an open top; and a second lid configured to close the open top of the second container, with a push indicator structure being formed at a center portion of the second lid, and with a plurality of registration bumps being formed about the push indicator structure, wherein the first container is stackable on the second lid such that (i) each of the registration bumps of the second lid is aligned with an adjacent surface of the indented recess in the bottom wall of the first container and (ii) surfaces of the registration bumps are spaced from the adjacent surfaces of the indented recess, and wherein the first container and the second container have different dimensions. 6. The container system according to claim 5 , further comprising: a third container including a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls, and an open top, with an indented recess being formed in the bottom wall; and a third lid configured to close the open top of the third container, wherein the third container is stackable on the second lid, with the registration bumps of the second lid being received in the indented recess in the bottom wall of the third container. 7. The container system according to claim 6 , wherein the first container and the third container are stackable on the second lid at the same time. 8. The container system according to claim 6 , wherein the first container and the third container have different dimensions. 9. The container system according to claim 5 , wherein the second lid includes a surface, with the push indicator structure being indented relative to the surface, and with the registration bumps being raised relative to the surface. 10. A container system comprising: a container including a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls, and an open top, with an indented recess being formed in the bottom wall; and a lid configured to close the open top of the container, with a push indicator structure being formed at a center portion of the lid, and with at least one registration bump being formed in the lid, wherein a total surface area of the at least one registration bump is greater than a spatial area of the lid, the spatial area of the lid being calculated as a length of the lid multiplied by a width of the lid. 11. A container system according to claim 10 , wherein the container is a first container and the lid is a first lid, and wherein the container system further comprises: a second container including a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls, and an open top, with an indented recess being formed in the bottom wall; and a second lid configured to close the open top of the second container, with a push indicator structure being formed at a center portion of the second lid, and with a with a plurality of registration bumps being formed in the second lid, wherein a total surface area of the registration bumps is greater than a spatial area of the second lid, the spatial area of the second lid being calculated as a length of the second lid multiplied by a width of the second lid. 12. A container system according to claim 11 , further comprising: a third container including a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls, and an open top, with an indented recess being formed in the bottom wall; and a third lid configured to close the open top of the third container, with a push indicator structure being formed at a center portion of the third lid, and with a plurality of registration bumps being formed in the third lid, wherein a total surface area of the registration bumps is greater than a spatial area of the third lid, the spatial area of the third lid being calculated as a length of the third lid multiplied by a width of the third lid, wherein the first container is stackable on the third lid with at least one of the registration bumps of the third lid being received within the indented recess in the bottom wall of the first container, and wherein the second container is stackable on the third lid with at least one of the registration bumps of the third lid being received within the indented recess in the bottom wall of the second container. 13. A container system according to claim 12 , wherein the first container and the second container are stackable on the third lid at the same time. 14. A container system according to claim 10 , wherein the lid includes a push indicator structure formed at a center portion of the lid.
