What is claimed is: 1. An extruded polymer composition consisting essentially of polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition, wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has greater than 10% by weight to about 100% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate and balance virgin polyethylene terephthalate. 2. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has at least about 25% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate. 3. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has at least about 50% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate. 4. The composition of claim 1 , wherein the homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate comprises at least one impurity not present in virgin polyethylene terephthalate. 5. The composition of claim 4 , wherein the at least one impurity comprises floatable contamination in an amount less than 25 ppm, PVC contamination in an amount less than 150 ppm, or a combination thereof. 6. A polymer mixture consisting essentially of a polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition, wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has greater than 10% by weight to about 100% by weight of homogeneous curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate and balance virgin polyethylene terephthalate. 7. The mixture of claim 6 , wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has at least about 25% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate. 8. The mixture of claim 6 , wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has at least about 50% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate. 9. The mixture of claim 6 , wherein the homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate comprises at least one impurity not present in virgin polyethylene terephthalate. 10. The mixture of claim 9 , wherein the at least one impurity comprises floatable contamination in an amount less than 25 ppm, PVC contamination in an amount less than 150 ppm, or a combination thereof. 11. A carpet comprising a fiber consisting essentially of a polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition, wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has greater than 10% by weight to about 100% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate and balance virgin polyethylene terephthalate. 12. The carpet of claim 11 , wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has at least about 25% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate. 13. The carpet of claim 11 , wherein the polyethylene terephthalate polymer composition has at least about 50% by weight of homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate. 14. The carpet of claim 11 , wherein the homogenized curbside post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate comprises at least one impurity not present in virgin polyethylene terephthalate. 15. The carpet of claim 14 , wherein the at least one impurity comprises floatable contamination in an amount less than 25 ppm, PVC contamination in an amount less than 150 ppm, or a combination thereof. 16. The carpet of claim 11 , wherein the curbside polyethylene terephthalate exhibits a bulk density of 20-27 lb/ft 3 , a moisture content of less than 1.0%, and a pressure rise of less than 75 psi/lb.
