The invention claimed is: 1. A compound of formula C{Ph(R 1 ) i (OR 2 ) j } 2 {Ph(R 3 ) m (OR 4 ) n }{Ph(R 5 ) o (OR 6 ) p }, wherein Ph represents a benzene ring, R 1 , R 3 and R 5 independently are C 1 -C 18 alkyl; R 2 , R 4 and R 6 independently are C 4 -C 12 alkyl, i, m, n, o and p independently are zero, one or two; j is one or two; and all R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 substituents collectively have a total of eight to thirty-five carbon atoms, wherein alkyl groups are saturated and unsubstituted, provided that when j is one and i, m, n, o and p are zero, then R 2 is not C 9 -C 11 alkyl. 2. The compound of claim 1 in which R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 are acyclic.
