Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Provided is a battery packaging material that comprises a laminated body formed by sequentially stacking at least a base layer, a metal layer, and a sealant layer, and that has a thin overall thickness, and has excellent formability and piercing strength. This battery packaging material comprises a laminated body formed by sequentially stacking at least a base layer, a metal layer, and a sealant layer, with the overall thickness of the laminated body being 50-80 μm, and the ratio of the sum of the thicknesses of the base layer and the metal layer with respect to the overall thickness of the laminated body being in a range of 0.380-0.630.

The invention claimed is: 1. A battery packaging material comprising a laminate having at least a base material layer, a metal layer and a sealant layer laminated in this order, wherein the base material layer comprises at least one of a polyester resin or a polyamide resin, a total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 50 to 80 μm, and a ratio of a sum of thicknesses of the base material layer and the metal layer to a total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 0.380 to 0.630. 2. The battery packaging material according to claim 1 , wherein a ratio of a thickness of the sealant layer to the total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 0.300 to 0.570. 3. The battery packaging material according to claim 1 , wherein the thickness of the base material layer is in a range of 9 to 25 μm, the thickness of the metal layer is in a range of 15 to 30 μm, and the thickness of the sealant layer is in a range of 22 to 35 μm. 4. The battery packaging material according to claim 1 , wherein the base material layer is a biaxially stretched nylon film or a biaxially stretched PET film. 5. The battery packaging material according to claim 1 , wherein the metal layer is formed of aluminum foil. 6. A battery comprising a battery element including at least a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte, the battery element being stored in the battery packaging material according to claim 1 . 7. A method for producing a battery, the method comprising: a step of storing in a battery packaging material a battery element including at least a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte, wherein the battery packaging material includes a laminate having at least a base material layer, a metal layer and a sealant layer laminated in this order, the base material layer comprises at least one of a polyester resin or a polyamide resin, a total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 50 to 80 μm, and a ratio of a sum of thicknesses of the base material layer and the metal layer to a total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 0.380 to 0.630. 8. A method of using a battery packaging material, the method comprising: a step of hermetically sealing a battery element including at least a positive electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte within the battery packaging material, wherein the battery packaging material includes a laminate having at least a base material layer, a metal layer and a sealant layer laminated in this order, the base material layer comprises at least one of a polyester resin or a polyamide resin, a total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 50 to 80 μm, and a ratio of a sum of thicknesses of the base material layer and the metal layer to a total thickness of the laminate is in a range of 0.380 to 0.630.
