Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media configured to determine a location of a user, identify the user and provide additional services based on the determined location and/or identity are provided. In some examples, the identity of a customer may be determined based on detection of a signal by a personal computing device of the customer. One or more associate users associated with that customer may be identified and a location of the associate user may be transmitted to the customer user. In other examples, a category of an identified customer may be determined and an associate user equipped to work with that determined category of customer may be identified.

What is claimed is: 1. A method, comprising: detecting, by a personal computing device, a signal being emitted by a location beacon at a banking center of a financial institution; receiving, by a location determination and user identification system having at least one processor, data associated with the signal detected by the personal computing device and emitted by the location beacon; determining, by the location determination and user identification system, a location of the personal computing device based on the received data associated with the signal emitted by the location beacon, wherein the location of the personal computing device is within a predefined proximity of a location of the location beacon; extracting, by the location determination and user identification system, a unique identifier associated with the personal computing device, the unique identifier including an international mobile station equipment identity (IMEI) of the personal computing device; determining, by the location determination and user identification system and based on the extracted unique identifier associated with the personal computing device, an identity of a customer user associated with the personal computing device; determining, by the location determination and user identification system, an identity of a first associate user associated with the identified customer user; determining, by the location determination and user identification system, a location within the banking center of the first associate user; tracking, during predetermined time periods, the location within the banking center of the first business associate user using global positioning system (GPS) data; generating, by the location determination and user identification system, a first notification identifying the location within the banking center of the first associate user; and transmitting the generated first notification to the personal computing device of the customer user. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the location within the banking center of the first associate user further includes determining that the first associate user is outside of a predefined proximity of the determined location of the personal computing device of the customer user and wherein generating the first notification includes indicating that the first associate user is outside of the predefined proximity of the determined location of the personal computing device of the customer user. 3. The method of claim 2 , further including: responsive to determining that the location of the first associate user is outside a predefined proximity of the determined location of the personal computing device of the customer user, determining an identity of a second associate user associated with the customer user, determining a location within the banking center of the second associate user and transmitting the location of the second associate user to the personal computing device of the customer user. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first notification further includes instructions for locating the location within the banking center of the first associate user. 5. The method of claim 1 , further including generating a second notification identifying the customer user and a physical presence of the customer user at the determined location of the personal computing device. 6. The method of claim 5 , further including transmitting the second notification to a personal computing device of the first associate user. 7. The method of claim 5 , wherein the second notification includes a transaction history of the customer user. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the data associated with a signal detected by the personal computing device and emitted by the location beacon is received by a back office system of the financial institution. 9. An apparatus, comprising: at least one processor; and a memory storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor cause the apparatus to: detect, by a personal computing device, a signal being emitted by a location beacon at a banking center of a financial institution; receive data associated with the signal detected by the personal computing device and emitted by the location beacon; determine a location of the personal computing device based on the received data associated with the signal emitted by the location beacon, wherein the location of the personal computing device is within a predefined proximity of a location of the locating beacon; extract a unique identifier associated with the personal computing device, the unique identifier including an international mobile station equipment identity (IMEI) of the personal computing device; determine, based on the extracted unique identifier associated with the personal computing device, an identity of a customer user associated with the personal computing device; determine an identity of a first associate user associated with the identified customer user; determine a location within the banking center of the first associate user; tracking, during predetermined time periods, the location within the banking center of the first associate user using global positioning system (GPS) data; generate a first notification identifying the location within the banking center of the first associate user; and transmit the generated first notification to the personal computing device of the customer user. 10. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein determining the location within the banking center of the first associate user further includes determining that the first associate user is outside of a predefined proximity of the determined location of the personal computing device and wherein generating the first notification includes indicating that the first associate user is outside of the predefined proximity of the determined location of the personal computing device. 11. The apparatus of claim 10 , further including instructions that, when executed, cause the apparatus to: responsive to determining that the location of the first associate user is outside a predefined proximity of the determined location of the personal computing device, determine an identity of a second associate user associated with the customer user, determine a location within the banking center of the second associate user and transmit the location of the second associate user to the personal computing device of the customer user. 12. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the first notification further includes instructions for locating the location within the banking center of the first associate user. 13. The apparatus of claim 9 , further including generating a second notification identifying the customer user and a physical presence of the customer user at the determined location of the personal computing device. 14. The apparatus of claim 13 , further including instructions that, when executed, cause the apparatus to: transmit the second notification to a personal computing device of the first associate user. 15. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the second notification includes a transaction history of the customer user. 16. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the data associated with a signal detected by the personal computing device and emitted by the location beacon is received by a back office system of the financial institution. 17. A method, comprising: detecting, by a personal computing device, a signal being emitted by a location beacon at a banking center of a financial institution; receiving, by a location determination and user identificati
