Abstract

Computationally implemented methods and systems include acquiring a captured image, wherein the captured image depicts at least one entity, performing a comparison between an estimated potential revenue generated from a distribution of the captured image and an estimated potential liability incurred for the distribution of the captured image, and modifying the captured image by placing at least one advertisement image at a particular location of the captured image. In addition to the foregoing, other aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text.

First claim

What is claimed is:

1. At least one computer processing component configured to perform operations comprising:
acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity;
identifying privacy metadata related to a privacy marker associated with the at least one entity depicted in the image;
obtaining term data based at least partly on the privacy metadata; and
obscuring at least one portion of the at least one entity depicted in the image based at least partly on the term data and based at least partly on the at least one entity being absent from at least one contact list.

2. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein said acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity comprises:
acquiring an image from an image capture device, wherein the image depicts at least one entity.

3. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein said acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity comprises:
acquiring an image from a wearable computer, wherein the image depicts at least one entity.

4. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
determining that a potential revenue generated from the image is less than a potential liability incurred from a distribution of the image.

5. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein said acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity comprises:
acquiring an image that has previously been encrypted, wherein the image depicts at least one entity.

6. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein said acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity comprises:
acquiring an image that has previously been encrypted through use of a unique device code, wherein the image depicts at least one entity.

7. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein said acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity comprises:
acquiring an image, wherein the image depicts at least one entity and the privacy marker.

8. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
performing a comparison between an estimated potential revenue generated from distribution of the image to a social networking site and an estimated potential liability incurred for distribution of the image.

9. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform operations comprising:
obtaining an estimated revenue value generated from distribution of the image;
obtaining an estimated damage value incurred for distribution of the image; and
performing a comparison between the estimated damage value and the estimated revenue value.

10. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform operations comprising:
estimating a revenue value generated from distribution of the image; and
performing a comparison between the revenue value and an estimated liability incurred for distribution of the image.

11. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform operations comprising:
obtaining an estimated damage value incurred for distribution of the image; and
performing a comparison between the estimated damage value and an estimated revenue generated from distribution of the image.

12. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
obtaining an estimated damage value incurred for distribution of the image, at least partly based on the term data.

13. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
obtaining an estimated damage value incurred for distribution of the image, at least partly based on the privacy metadata.

14. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
identifying the at least one entity based at least partly on the privacy metadata related to the privacy marker associated with the at least one entity depicted in the image.

15. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
obtaining the privacy metadata related to the privacy marker.

16. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein said obtaining term data based at least partly on the privacy metadata comprises:
obtaining term data that includes one or more terms of service that govern use or distribution of the image, based at least partly on the privacy metadata.

17. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform operations comprising:
estimating an advertisement revenue value generated from distribution of the image with an advertisement placed in the image; and
performing a comparison between the advertisement revenue value and an estimated liability incurred for distribution of the image.

18. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
modifying the image by placing at least one advertisement image at a particular location that is at least partly based on a comparison between an estimated advertisement revenue and an estimated liability associated with distribution of the image.

The at least one computer processing component of claim 18 , wherein said modifying the image by placing at least one advertisement image at a particular location that is at least partly based on a comparison between an estimated advertisement revenue and an estimated liability associated with distribution of the image comprises:
modifying the image by placing at least one advertisement image at a particular distance from center that is at least partly based on a comparison between an estimated advertisement revenue and an estimated liability associated with distribution of the image.

20. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
modifying the image by placing at least one advertisement image at a particular location that covers the at least one entity depicted in the image, when an estimated potential liability is greater than a particular amount.

21. The at least one computer processing component of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computer processing component is further configured to perform an operation comprising:
modifying the image by placing at least one advertisement image at a particular location that overlaps the at least one entity depicted in the image.
