An implant for use in orthognathic surgery of a mandible may include a longitudinal plate member and a plurality of pre-configured guides coupled to the plate member. The longitudinal plate member is pre-bent to correspond to the post-operative shape of the mandible; and the guides are pre-configured to align the plate member with the mandible when the implant is positioned against the mandible after the mandible has been separated.

What is claimed: 1. An orthognathic surgical kit comprising: an osteotomy guiding implant including: a first plate member that is pre-shaped to correspond to a pre-operative shape of a maxilla, the first plate member defining a first plurality of holes; and at least one first finger that extends from the first plate member, the at least one first finger including a second plurality of holes a bone fixation implant including: a second plate member pre-shaped to correspond to a first bone portion of the maxilla after the first bone portion is segmented from a second bone portion of the maxilla by an osteotomy; and at least one second finger that extends from the second plate member and is pre-shaped to correspond to the second bone portion of the maxilla after the first bone portion is segmented from the second bone portion. 2. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 1 , wherein the second plate member includes a bridge member, a first plate portion, and a second plate portion, and the bridge member positioned between the first plate portion and the second plate portion such that the first plate portion is spaced from the second plate portion. 3. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 2 , wherein the bridge member includes a bridge plate and a pair of extensions, the pair of extensions each extends from the bridge plate towards one of the first plate portion and the second plate portion so as to couple the bridge member to each of the first plate portion and the second plate portion. 4. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 3 , wherein the bridge plate is elongate in a first direction, each of the extensions extends in a second direction from the bridge plate towards one of the first plate portion and the second plate portion, and the first direction is different from the second direction. 5. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 3 , wherein the bridge member includes a protrusion that extends from an inner surface of the bridge plate such that the protrusion is positioned between the pair of extensions. 6. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 5 , wherein the bridge member includes a reference hole that extends through both: 1) an outer surface of the bridge plate that is opposite the inner surface, and 2) the protrusion. 7. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 2 , wherein the at least one second finger includes two fingers that each extend from the first plate portion, and the at least one second finger further includes two fingers that each extend from the second plate portion. 8. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 7 , wherein each of the at least one second finger extends from an upper edge of the plate member. 9. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 1 , wherein the at least one first finger includes a plurality of non-linear undulations that correspond to surface portions of the maxilla. 10. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 1 , wherein the bone fixation implant defines a first reference hole configured: 1) to be aligned with a hole in the maxilla, and 2) to receive a screw inserted through both the first reference hole and the hole in the maxilla to affix the bone fixation implant to the maxilla, and the osteotomy guiding implant defines a second reference hole configured: 1) to be aligned with the hole in the maxilla, and 2) to receive a screw inserted through both the second reference hole and the hole in the maxilla to affix the osteotomy guiding implant to the maxilla. 11. An orthognathic surgical kit comprising: a bone fixation implant including a first portion pre-shaped to correspond to a first bone portion of a maxilla after the first bone portion is segmented from a second bone portion of the maxilla by an osteotomy, the bone fixation implant further including a second portion pre-shaped to correspond to the second bone portion of the maxilla after the first bone portion has become segmented from the second bone portion, and the bone fixation implant defining a first reference hole; and an osteotomy guiding implant including a plate member, the osteotomy guiding implant defining a plurality of apertures arranged to provide a template for pre-osteotomy drilling holes that are aligned along a cutting path in the maxilla so as to define a boundary that separates the first bone portion from the second bone portion, and the plate member defining a second reference hole, wherein the first reference hole is configured to be aligned with a hole in the maxilla such that a screw inserted through both the first reference hole and the hole in the maxilla affixes the bone fixation implant to the maxilla, and the second reference hole is configured to be aligned with the hole in the maxilla such that a screw inserted through both the second reference hole and the hole in the maxilla affixes the osteotomy guiding implant to the maxilla. 12. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 11 , wherein the bone fixation implant includes a plate member that includes the first portion, the bone fixation implant includes at least one finger that extends from the plate member and includes the second portion, and the plate member defines the first reference hole. 13. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 12 , wherein the osteotomy guiding implant includes at least one finger that defines the plurality of apertures. 14. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 13 , wherein the at least one finger of the bone fixation implant includes a plurality of apertures that are arranged so as to be offset with respect to the cutting path in the maxilla. 15. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 12 , wherein the plate member of the bone fixation implant includes a bridge member, a first plate portion, and a second plate portion, the bridge member positioned between the first plate portion and the second plate portion such that the first plate portion is spaced from the second plate portion. 16. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 15 , wherein the bridge member includes a bridge plate and a pair of extensions, the pair of extensions each extends from the bridge plate towards one of the first plate portion and the second plate portion so as to couple the bridge member to each of the first plate portion and the second plate portion. 17. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 16 , wherein the bridge plate is elongate in a first direction, each of the extensions extends in a second direction from the bridge plate towards one of the first plate portion and the second plate portion, and the first direction is different from the second direction. 18. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 16 , wherein the bridge plate member includes a protrusion that extends from an inner surface of the bridge plate such that the protrusion is positioned between the pair of extensions. 19. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 12 , wherein each of the at least one finger of the bone fixation implant extends from an upper edge of the plate member. 20. The orthognathic surgical kit of claim 12 , wherein the at least one finger of the bone fixation implant includes a plurality of non-linear undulations that correspond to surface portions of the maxilla.
