What is claimed is: 1. A crystalline form of 6,6′-[[3,3′,5,5′-tetrakis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-[1,1′-biphenyl]-2,2′-diyl]bis(oxy)]bisdibenzo[d,f][1,3,2]-dioxaphosphepin, which displays its two strongest reflections, stated as 2Θ values, at 7.8±0.2° and 19.7±0.2° in an X-ray powder diffractogram, measured at 25° C. with Cu-Kα radiation. 2. The crystalline form of claim 1 wherein the diffractogram displays at least 3 of the following reflections: # 2θ Angle (°) 1  8.3 ± 0.2 2  9.9 ± 0.2 3 10.9 ± 0.2 4 12.6 ± 0.2 5 13.8 ± 0.2 6 14.3 ± 0.2 7 15.1 ± 0.2 8 15.7 ± 0.2 9 16.1 ± 0.2 3. The crystalline form of claim 1 that is solvent-free. 4. The crystalline form of claim 1 lacking a significant reflection at 8.5±0.2° 2θ in an X-ray powder diffractogram, measured at 25° C. with Cu-Kα radiation. 5. The crystalline form of claim 1 having a melting point of 202-208° C., as determined by DSC. 6. The crystalline form of claim 5 having a DSC plot that exhibits an initial endothermic transition with a peak at 206° C. 7. The crystalline form of claim 1 having the XRD diffractogram of FIG. 2 . 8. The crystalline form of claim 1 having the TGA plot of FIG. 9 line B.
