A home therapy machine is configured to perform a home therapy on a patient at a home or dwelling of the patient. The home therapy machine includes at least one processor operating a connectivity agent having an activated mode and a deactivated mode. When the connectivity agent is in the activated mode, the at least one processor is able to send data to and receive data from a system hub. When the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode, the at least one processor is not able to send data to or receive data from the system hub. The home therapy machine further includes a user interface configured to receive a patient selection of a device program received from the system hub and at least one pump under control of the at least one processor for performing the home therapy according to the selected device program.

The invention is claimed as follows: 1. A home therapy machine configured to perform a home therapy on a patient at a home or dwelling of the patient, the home therapy machine comprising: at least one processor operating a connectivity agent, the connectivity agent including an activated mode and a deactivated mode, wherein the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode during performance of the home therapy, wherein: (i) when the connectivity agent is in the activated mode, the at least one processor is able to send data to and receive data from a system hub located remote from the home or dwelling of the patient, wherein the data received from the system hub includes at least one device program including a plurality of parameters by which the at least one processor operates the home therapy machine to perform the home therapy, and (ii) when the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode, the home therapy machine is prevented from sending any data to or receiving any data from the system hub and after the home therapy is complete, the at least one processor places the connectivity agent into the activated mode; a user interface including a display and an input device configured to receive a patient selection of the device program received from the system hub; and at least one pump under control of the at least one processor for performing the home therapy according to the selected device program. 2. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the home therapy machine is of a type selected from the group consisting of: (i) a hemodialysis machine, (ii) a peritoneal dialysis machine, (iii) a hemofiltration machine, (iv) a hemodiafiltration machine, (v) a continuous renal replacement machine, (vi) a medical fluid delivery machine, or (vii) a machine running a nutritional therapy. 3. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the user interface is a wireless user interface. 4. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor generates log files documenting home therapies performed by the home therapy machine and sends the log files to the system hub. 5. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the parameters of the at least one device program includes a range of values, and wherein the at least one processor enables the patient to select a value within that range via the input device. 6. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode during post home therapy disinfection. 7. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the user interface displays an inventory screen illustrating supplies the patient is recorded as having at the patient's home or dwelling, wherein the supplies include at least one of a container of a medical substance, a dialyzer, a blood tubing set, a cassette, or needles. 8. The home therapy machine of claim 7 , wherein the at least one processor enables the patient to enter information via the input device regarding an actual amount of the supplies currently residing at the patient's home or dwelling. 9. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is in operable communication with at least one of a scale, a tablet, a blood pressure monitor, or a water treatment device. 10. The home therapy machine of claim 9 , wherein the at least one processor is in wireless communication with at least one of the scale, the tablet, the blood pressure monitor, and the water treatment device. 11. The home therapy machine of claim 1 , wherein the user interface includes a camera operable to take and store photographs or videos of at least one of (i) the patient as the patient carries out the home therapy or (ii) an identifier of a supply used with the home therapy. 12. A home renal therapy machine configured to perform a home renal therapy on a patient at a home or dwelling of the patient, the home renal therapy machine comprising: at least one processor operating a connectivity agent, the connectivity agent including an activated mode and a deactivated mode, wherein the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode during performance of the home renal therapy, wherein: (i) when the connectivity agent is the activated mode, the at least one processor is able to send data to and receive data from a system hub located remote from the home or dwelling of the patient, wherein the data received from the system hub includes at least one device program including a plurality of parameters by which the at least one processor operates the home renal therapy machine to perform the home renal therapy, (ii) when the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode, the home renal therapy machine is prevented from sending any data to or receiving any data from the system hub and after the home renal therapy is complete, the at least one processor places the connectivity agent into the activated mode, (iii) prior to when the connectivity agent is in the activated mode, it is determined whether at least one new device program from the system hub has been posted for the home renal therapy machine, and (iv) if the at least one new device program has been posted, the connectivity agent receives the at least one new device program; a user interface including a display and an input device configured to receive a patient selection of one of the at least one device program including the at least one new device program received from the system hub; and at least one pump under control of the at least one processor for performing the home renal therapy according to the selected device program. 13. The home renal therapy machine of claim 12 , wherein the at least one new device program is encrypted and wherein the at least one processor decrypts the new device program if patient information data tagged in the new device program matches patient information stored at the home renal therapy machine. 14. A home peritoneal dialysis machine configured to perform a home peritoneal dialysis therapy on a patient at a home or dwelling of the patient, the home peritoneal dialysis machine comprising: at least one processor operating a connectivity agent, the connectivity agent including an activated mode and a deactivated mode, wherein the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode during performance of the home peritoneal dialysis therapy, wherein: (i) when the connectivity agent is in the activated mode the at least one processor is able to send data to and receive data from a system hub located remote from the home or dwelling of the patient, wherein the data received from the system hub includes a plurality of different device programs each including a plurality of parameters by which the at least one processor operates the home peritoneal dialysis machine to perform a specific home peritoneal dialysis therapy, and (ii) when the connectivity agent is in the deactivated mode, the home peritoneal dialysis machine is prevented from sending any data to or receiving any data from the system hub; a user interface including a display and an input device configured to receive a patient selection of one of the plurality of different device programs received from the system hub for the specific home therapy; and at least one pump under control of the at least one processor for performing the specific home therapy according to the selected device program. 15.
