A process for making a multi-component hollow housing comprises injecting a first plastic material into a first mold cavity and causing it to solidify to form a first component, whereby the first plastic material shrinks lengthwise; injecting a second plastic material into a second mold cavity having the first component transferred thereto and causing the second plastic component to solidify to form a second component, the second component comprising a tolerance-elimination element that is longitudinally attached to the first component at one of the ends thereof, wherein a length of the shrunk first component is at least ten times greater than a length of the tolerance-elimination element, and wherein an absolute lengthwise shrinkage of the second plastic material forming the tolerance-elimination element is at least ten times smaller than the lengthwise shrinkage of the first plastic material; at least partially overmolding an intermediate part comprising the first and second component with a third plastic material in a third mold cavity, thereby forming the multi-component housing in which the tolerance-elimination element is at least partially overmolded by the third plastic material, and wherein the third plastic material forms at least a portion of an outer surface of the multi-component housing; and removing the multi-component housing from the core.

What is claimed is: 1. A process for making a multi-component hollow housing from a shrinkable plastic material, the housing having a longitudinal axis, a top end, a bottom end, a length therebetween extending parallel to the length of the housing, the process comprising: injecting a first plastic material into a first mold cavity having a core at least partially disposed therein, the first mold cavity having a first-cavity length; causing the first plastic material to solidify, whereby the first plastic material shrinks lengthwise by a first absolute lengthwise shrinkage and whereby a first component is formed, the first component comprising a generally tubular structure having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end and a first solidified length therebetween, wherein the first solidified length is smaller than the first-cavity length; positioning the core, together with the first component disposed thereon, in a second mold cavity having a second-cavity length that is greater than the first-cavity length by a distance greater than the first absolute lengthwise shrinkage of the first plastic material during solidification; injecting a second plastic material into the second mold cavity and causing the second plastic component to solidify to form an intermediate part comprising a second component attached to the first component, the second component comprising a tolerance-elimination element that is longitudinally adjacent to the first component at one of the first end and the second end thereof, wherein the tolerance-elimination element has a proximal end adjacent to the first component, a distal end opposite to the proximal end, and an average length that is arithmetic mean of a maximal length and a minimal length of the tolerance-elimination element, the maximal and minimal lengths extending parallel to the longitudinal axis and between the proximal and distal ends of the tolerance-elimination element, wherein the first solidified length of the first component is at least ten times greater than the maximal length of the tolerance-elimination element, and wherein an absolute lengthwise shrinkage of the second plastic material forming the tolerance-elimination element is at least ten times smaller than the first absolute lengthwise shrinkage of the first plastic material; at least partially overmolding the intermediate part, including the tolerance-elimination element, with a third plastic material in a third mold cavity and causing the third plastic material to solidify to form a third component attached to at least one of the first component and the second component, thereby forming the multi-component housing in which the tolerance-elimination element is at least partially overmolded by the third plastic material, and wherein the third component forms at least a portion of an outer surface of the multi-component housing; and removing the multi-component housing from the core. 2. The process of claim 1 , wherein the first plastic material, the second plastic material, and the third plastic material differ from one another in at least one characteristic selected from the group consisting of color, opacity, porosity, and hardness. 3. The process of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first plastic material, the second plastic material, and the third plastic material is a hard-plastic material. 4. The process of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first plastic material, the second plastic material, and the third plastic material is a soft-plastic material. 5. The process of claim 1 , wherein the first plastic material is a first hard-plastic material, the second plastic material is a second hard-plastic material different from the first hard-plastic material, and the third plastic material is a soft-plastic material. 6. The process of claim 1 , wherein the step of at least partially overmolding the intermediate part with a third plastic material results in the tolerance-elimination element being completely overmolded by the third plastic material. 7. The process of claim 1 , wherein in the step of injecting a second plastic material, the injected second plastic material comprises a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion of the second plastic material at least partially overmolds the first component, and the second portion of the second plastic material forms the tolerance-elimination element. 8. The process of claim 7 , wherein both the first portion and the second portion of the second plastic material are formed with a single injection shot. 9. The process of claim 1 , wherein after the second plastic material has solidified, the tolerance-elimination element has the minimal length of from about 1 mm to about 20 mm and the maximal length of from about 10 mm to about 30 mm. 10. The process of claim 1 , wherein after the second plastic material has solidified, the tolerance-elimination element has the average length of from about 5 mm to about 10 mm. 11. The process of claim 1 , wherein the tolerance-elimination element causes the multi-component housing to have a lengthwise tolerance of from 0.01 mm to 0.05 mm. 12. The process of claim 1 , wherein the tolerance-elimination element causes the multi-component housing to have a lengthwise tolerance of from about 0.006% to about 0.03% relative to the length of the multi-component housing. 13. The process of claim 1 , further comprising positioning at least one movable stripper on the core so that the at least one stripper forms a part of at least one of the second mold cavity and the third mold cavity, whereby the at least one stripper contacts at least one of the second plastic material and the third plastic material being injected. 14.
