Door alarm systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed. A door alarm system may monitor a door of a refrigeration device and detect a failed attempt at closing the door. In response to detecting the failed attempt, the door alarm system may generate a notification of the detected, failed attempt so that remedial action may be taken.

What is claimed is: 1. A method, comprising: detecting that a door of a refrigeration device is moving from an open state toward a closed state; detecting a failed attempt at closing the door in response to ceased movement of the door before the door reaches the closed state; and in response to detecting the failed attempt, generating a notification indicative of the detected failed attempt at closing the door. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting an angle of the door of the refrigeration device with respect to a refrigerated compartment of the refrigeration device; and detecting that the door is moving from the open state toward the closed state based on the detected angle of the door. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting an angle of the door of the refrigeration device with respect to a refrigerated compartment of the refrigeration device; and determining an attempt at closing the door has commenced after detecting the angle of the door has a predetermined relationship to a predetermined threshold angle. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting an angle of the door of the refrigeration device with respect to a refrigerated compartment of the refrigeration device; and determining an attempt at closing the door has failed based on a rate of change of the detected angle. 5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting a distance between a refrigerated compartment and a surface of the door of the refrigeration device facing the refrigerated compartment; and detecting that the door is moving from the open state toward the closed state based on the detected distance. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: using a distance sensor to detect a distance between a refrigerated compartment and a surface of the door of the refrigeration device facing the refrigerated compartment; and determining an attempt at closing the door has commenced after determining the door is within range of the distance sensor. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting a distance between a refrigerated compartment and a surface of the door of the refrigeration device facing the refrigerated compartment; and determining an attempt at closing the door has failed based on a rate of change of the detected distance. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein said generating the notification comprises sounding an audible alarm. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein said generating the notification comprises sending a notification message via a network interface of the refrigeration device. 10. A refrigeration device, comprising: a refrigerated compartment; a door movable between a closed state that seals the refrigerated compartment and an opened state that grants access to the refrigerated compartment; a sensor configured to provide a signal indicative of a position of the door; and one or more microcontrol units coupled to the sensor, the one or more microcontrol units configured to detect, based on the signal from the sensor, a failed attempt at closing door, and in response to detecting the failed attempt, to generate a notification indicative of the detected failed attempt. 11. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , wherein: the sensor comprises an angle sensor configured to detect an angle of the door with respect to the refrigerated compartment; the sensor is further configured to generate the signal such that the signal is indicative of the detected angle between the door and the refrigerated compartment; and the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to detect that the door is moving from the open state toward the closed state based on the detected angle indicated by the signal. 12. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , wherein: the sensor comprises an angle sensor configured to detect an angle of the door with respect to the refrigerated compartment; the sensor is further configured to generate the signal such that the signal is indicative of the detected angle between the door and the refrigerated compartment; and the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to determine that an attempt at closing the door has commenced based on the detected angle provided by the signal having a predetermined relationship to a predetermined threshold angle. 13. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , wherein: the sensor comprises an angle sensor configured to detect an angle of the door with respect to the refrigerated compartment; the sensor is further configured to generate the signal such that the signal is indicative of the detected angle between the door and the refrigerated compartment; and the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to determine that an attempt at closing the door has failed based on a rate of change of the detected angle provided by the signal. 14. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , wherein: the sensor comprises a distance sensor configured to detect a distance between the refrigerated compartment and a surface of the door facing the refrigerated compartment; the sensor is further configured to generate the signal such that the signal is indicative of the detected distance between the refrigerated compartment and the surface of the door; and the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to detect that the door is moving from the open state toward the closed state based on the detected distance provided by the signal. 15. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , wherein: the sensor comprises a distance sensor configured to detect a distance between the refrigerated compartment and a surface of the door facing the refrigerated compartment; the sensor is further configured to generate the signal such that the signal is indicative of the detected distance between the refrigerated compartment and the surface of the door; and the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to determine an attempt at closing the door has commenced after determining the door is within range of the distance sensor. 16. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , wherein: the sensor comprises a distance sensor configured to detect a distance between the refrigerated compartment and a surface of the door facing the refrigerated compartment; the sensor is further configured to generate the signal such that the signal is indicative of the detected distance between the refrigerated compartment and the surface of the door; and the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to determine an attempt at closing the door has failed based on a rate of change of the detected distance provided by the signal. 17. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , further comprising a speaker coupled to the one or more microcontrol units, wherein the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to generate the notification by driving the speaker to sound an audible alarm. 18. The refrigeration device of claim 10 , further comprising a network interface, wherein the one or more microcontrol units are further configured to generate the notification by sending a notification message via the network interface. 19. A computer-readable medium, comprising a plurality of instructions that in response to being executed, cause a refrigeration device to: detect that a door of the refrigeration device is moving from an open state toward a closed state; detect a failed attempt at closing the door in response to ceased movement of the door before the door reaches the closed state; and in response to detecti
