What is claimed is: 1. An apparatus for applying at least one label to cable or conduit, the apparatus comprising: at least one tamping device comprising at least one tamping pad, wherein the tamping pad is in intermittent contact with the at least one label; and at least one guide shoe in intermittent contact with the at least one label affixed to the cable or conduit by the at least one tamping device. 2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide shoe further comprises a rounding member. 3. The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the at least one guide shoe further comprises at least one spring coupled to the rounding member. 4. The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the guide shoe further comprises a rounding member support coupled to the rounding member. 5. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide shoe further comprises a hollow portion directly facing at least one side of the cable or conduit. 6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide shoe is mounted directly under the cable or conduit. 7. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide shoe is mounted at a level horizontally even with the cable or conduit. 8. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising at least one guide roller. 9. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising at least one guide roller in rotational connection with the cable or conduit. 10. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the at least one guide roller further comprises a top portion and a bottom portion. 11. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the at least one guide roller further comprises at least two guide rollers in parallel. 12. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the at least two guide rollers contact the at least one label and the cable or conduit. 13. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the point of contact between the at least two guide rollers and the cable or conduit is rotationally different than the contact between the guide shoe and the cable or conduit. 14. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the distance between the at least two guide rollers is adjustable. 15. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide shoe further comprises at least two guide shoes. 16. The apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the at least two guide shoes further comprises at least three guide shoes. 17. The apparatus of claim 16 , the first guide shoe presses the at least one label against a first side of the cable or conduit, the second guide shoe presses the at least one label against a second side of the cable or conduit, and the third guide shoe presses the at least one label against a third side of the cable or conduit. 18. The apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the third side of the cable or conduit is the bottom portion of the cable or conduit. 19. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one tamping device further comprises a set of hydraulics for driving the at least one tamping pad onto the cable or conduit. 20. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tamping pad comprises a groove. 21. The apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the groove fits the outer profile of the cable or conduit.
