The contact device includes: a fixed contact member including a fixed contact; and a movable contact member including a movable contact. The movable contact member is movable between a position where the movable contact is in contact with the fixed contact and a position where the movable contact is away from the fixed contact. The movable contact member further includes a protrusion which protrudes from a face to which the movable contact is provided, in a direction same as a protruding direction of the movable contact.

The invention claimed is: 1. A contact device, comprising: a fixed contact member including a fixed contact; and a movable contact member which includes a movable contact and is movable between a position where the movable contact is in contact with the fixed contact and a position where the movable contact is away from the fixed contact; a first contact member which is one of the fixed contact member and the movable contact member further including a protrusion which protrudes from a main face to which a first contact is provided, in a direction which is the same as a protruding direction of the first contact, which protrudes toward a second contact of a second contact member which is an other of the fixed contact member and the movable contact member, the protrusion being formed by folding an end part of the first contact member, a shortest distance between a tip of the protrusion and the first contact being shorter than a shortest distance between a folded part of the first contact member and the first contact. 2. The contact device according to claim 1 , further comprising: an armature; a driver for driving the armature; a contact spring for holding the movable contact so as to allow the movable contact to be in contact with and separate from the fixed contact; and a card interconnecting the armature and the contact spring, the card being made of resilient material and fixed to each of the armature and the contact spring. 3. The contact device according to claim 2 , wherein the card is more flexible in a direction perpendicular to a contact and separation direction of the movable contact than in the contact and separation direction. 4. The contact device according to claim 2 , wherein the card is made of metal. 5. The contact device according to claim 1 , wherein the first contact member includes a plurality of the protrusions, the fixed contact member and the movable contact member face each other in a first direction, and the plurality of the protrusions are formed by folding opposite ends of the first contact member in a second direction that intersects with the first direction. 6. The contact device according to claim 1 , wherein the end part has a U-shape when viewed in cross-section. 7. The contact device according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion includes a first surface opposed to the main face, and in a normal direction of the main face, a distance between the main face and a tip of the protrusion on the first surface side is shorter than a distance between the main face and a top part of the first contact. 8. The contact device according to claim 7 , wherein the protrusion further includes a second surface opposite to the first surface, and in a normal direction of the main face, a distance between the main face and a tip of the protrusion on the second surface side is shorter than a distance between the main face and the top part of the first contact. 9. The contact device according to claim 1 , wherein the second contact member includes a second protrusion which protrudes from a face to which the second contact is provided, in a direction same as a protruding direction of the second contact which protrudes toward the first contact. 10. A contact device, comprising: a fixed contact member including a fixed contact; a movable contact member which includes a movable contact and is movable between a position where the movable contact is in contact with the fixed contact and a position where the movable contact is away from the fixed contact; a case in which at least the fixed contact and the movable contact are contained; an armature; a driver for driving the armature; a contact spring for holding the movable contact so as to allow the movable contact to be in contact with and separate from the fixed contact; and a card interconnecting the armature and the contact spring, at least one of the fixed contact member and the movable contact member further including a protrusion which protrudes from a face to which a corresponding contact is provided, in a direction same as a protruding direction of the corresponding contact, the protrusion being fully contained in the case, the protrusion being formed by folding an end part of the at least one of the fixed contact member and the movable contact member, and the card being made of resilient material and fixed to each of the armature and the contact spring. 11. The contact device according to claim 10 , wherein the card is more flexible in a direction perpendicular to a contact and separation direction of the movable contact than in the contact and separation direction. 12. The contact device according to claim 10 , wherein the card is made of metal.
