Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Forms of interaction with an electronic system, such as for games of chance, games of skill, and combinations thereof are described herein. A system is provided for effecting defined game play and prizing structure parameters in an electronic entertainment environment. The system may include an input for receiving the parameters, a memory coupled to the input for storing the parameters, a processing system coupled to the storage for generating game play to effect the defined parameters, storage for recording information regarding particular game play events and an interface for at least presenting game play events to users of the electronic entertainment system. In one mode of operation, one or more mandated parameters are externally imposed, and variable parameters are selected such that the mandated parameters are met globally, and such that the user experience is optimized.

What is claimed: 1. A system for effecting user experience including at least a prizing structure in an electronic environment to couple one or more geographically remote users utilizing first electronic communications devices having first display capabilities and first local memory and second electronic communication devices having second display capabilities and second local memory, the first display capabilities being different than the first display capabilities, comprising: a system-side input for receiving one or more mandated parameters, a memory coupled to the input for storing at least the mandated parameters, a processing system coupled to the memory for implementing the mandated parameters by utilizing variable parameters which implement a user experience and generating game play data relating to a game result, an analysis processor coupled to the processing system, the analysis processor at least in part optimizes the prizing structure and performing one or more of the group comprising: monitors the frequency of player visits, monitors whether a player diverts to other information, monitors game popularity, and maximizes game play, user experience storage for recording information regarding user experience events as determined by the analysis processor, a communication system for coupling incoming and outgoing communications between the system and the first communication devices and the second communication devices, the outgoing communications including a game application program including graphical display information and game play data relating to a game result, program storage, coupled to the communication system, for storing the downloadable game application program, the program being coupled through the communication system as output from the system to the first local memory of the first communication devices and the second local memory of the second communication devices, the downloadable game application program providing enhanced graphical display information to the first display capabilities and the second display capabilities, the game application program receiving and storing the game play data relating to a game result, a display generator for generating images of user experience events, the display generator providing variable resolution images depending upon the first display capabilities of the first electronic communication devices and the second display capabilities of the second communication devices, and an input for receiving user input. 2. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor monitors the overall number of players. 3. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor tracks user specific play. 4. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor monitors the number of times the player has played the game. 5. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 4 wherein the analysis processor monitors the number of times a player played in one session. 6. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor monitors whether the play is continuous without interruption. 7. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor includes data analytics. 8. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor stores data on prior game play. 9. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor performs statistical analysis on game data. 10. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor includes a neural network analysis. 11. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor includes an adaptive network. 12. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor analyzes data in real time. 13. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor analyzes data in batch mode. 14. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor comprises a self-learning system. 15. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor includes a reporting system. 16. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the analysis processor includes market research. 17. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein play is optimized for a population subset. 18. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 17 wherein the subset is a subset of geography. 19. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 17 wherein the subset is a subset of time of game play. 20. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 17 wherein the subset is a subset of socio-economic status. 21. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 17 wherein the subset is a subset of gender. 22. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 17 wherein the subset is a particular player. 23. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 22 wherein the play is optimized based on information about the particular player. 24. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 22 wherein play is optimized based on generalized information about the player. 25. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein the system involves a lottery. 26. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 25 wherein the lottery includes an on-line registration. 27. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein one or more buddy lists enable games between multiple players. 28. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 1 wherein one or more association groupings enable games between multiple players. 29. The system for effecting user experience in an electronic environment of claim 28 wherein the association groupings are competitive game play pairings. 30.
