A system includes an agricultural metering system with a meter roller configured to meter product from an agricultural product storage compartment to a product distribution system via rotation of the meter roller. The meter roller includes a first meter roller segment having a first plurality of flutes and corresponding recesses, and a second meter roller segment having a second plurality of flutes and a corresponding second plurality of recesses. The flutes of the first meter roller segment are axially separated from the flutes of the second meter roller segment by a gap. The meter roller also includes a dividing ring disposed about the shaft and axially positioned between the first meter roller segment and the second meter roller segment. A width of the dividing ring is substantially equal to the gap.

What is claimed is: 1. An agricultural metering system, comprising: a meter roller configured to meter product from an agricultural product storage compartment to a product distribution system via rotation of the meter roller, wherein the meter roller comprises: a first meter roller segment having a first plurality of flutes and corresponding first plurality of recesses; a second meter roller segment having a second plurality of flutes and corresponding second plurality of recesses, wherein the first plurality of flutes of the first meter roller segment is axially separated from the second plurality of flutes of the second meter roller segment by a gap; and a dividing ring axially positioned between the first meter roller segment and the second meter roller segment, wherein a width of the dividing ring is substantially equal to the gap, wherein the dividing ring comprises a circular profile on an outer circumference of the dividing ring, and wherein the dividing ring is configured to block the product from passing between the first meter roller segment and the second meter roller segment. 2. The agricultural metering system of claim 1 , comprising a shaft disposed through the first meter roller segment and through the second meter roller segment, wherein the shaft is non-rotatably coupled to the first meter roller segment and to the second meter roller segment. 3. The agricultural metering system of claim 2 , wherein the first meter roller segment, the second meter roller segment, or any combination thereof, comprises at least one radially inward protrusion configured to engage with a radially inward recess of the shaft. 4. The agricultural metering system of claim 2 , wherein the first meter roller segment comprises a first axial protrusion, the second meter roller segment comprises a second axial protrusion, and the first axial protrusion is configured to engage the second axial protrusion. 5. The agricultural metering system of claim 4 , wherein the dividing ring comprises a cutout configured to conform to the first axial protrusion and the second axial protrusion. 6. The agricultural metering system of claim 1 , wherein the first meter roller segment comprises a first profile, the second meter roller segment comprises a second profile, and the first profile is different from the second profile. 7. The agricultural metering system of claim 1 , comprising a slide configured to selectively block at least a portion of the product flowing from the agricultural product storage compartment to the meter roller. 8. The agricultural metering system of claim 7 , comprising a slat configured to divide the product into a first portion and a second portion, and to direct the first portion over the first meter roller segment and to direct the second portion over the second meter roller segment. 9. The agricultural metering system of claim 7 , wherein the slide is curved to substantially match a shape of an outer surface of the meter roller. 10. The agricultural metering system of claim 7 , wherein the slide is configured to move in a first direction toward a closed position that substantially blocks the product from engaging the meter roller, and in a second direction toward an open position that facilitates flow into at least one meter roller segment. 11. The agricultural metering system of claim 10 , wherein the slide comprises a hole configured to unblock the first meter roller segment when the slide is fully moved in the closing direction. 12. An agricultural metering system, comprising: a meter roller configured to meter product from an agricultural product storage compartment to a product distribution system via rotation of the meter roller, wherein the meter roller comprises: a first meter roller segment having a first plurality of flutes and corresponding first plurality of recesses; a second meter roller segment having a second plurality of flutes and corresponding second plurality of recesses, wherein the first plurality of flutes of the first meter roller segment is axially separated from the second plurality of flutes of the second meter roller segment by a gap; and a dividing ring axially positioned between the first meter roller segment and the second meter roller segment, wherein a width of the dividing ring is substantially equal to the gap; and a slide configured to selectively block at least a portion of the agricultural product flowing from the agricultural product storage compartment to the meter roller in response to sliding the slide along a longitudinal axis of the meter roller. 13. The agricultural metering system of claim 12 , wherein the slide is curved to substantially match a shape of an outer surface of the meter roller. 14. The agricultural metering system of claim 12 , wherein the slide is configured to move in a first direction toward a closed position that substantially blocks the agricultural product from engaging the meter roller, and in a second direction toward an open position that facilitates flow into at least one meter roller segment of the first and second meter roller segments. 15. The agricultural metering system of claim 14 , wherein the slide comprises a hole configured to unblock the first meter roller segment when the slide is fully moved in the closing direction.
