A monomer is represented by Chemical Formula 1: wherein in Chemical Formula 1, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O, R 1 to R 10 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof, and n1 and n2 are independently an integer ranging from 0 to 3.

What is claimed is: 1. A monomer represented by Chemical Formula 1: wherein in Chemical Formula 1, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O, R 1 to R 10 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof, and n1 and n2 are independently an integer ranging from 0 to 3. 2. The monomer of claim 1 , wherein the monomer is represented by Chemical Formula 1-1 or 1-2: wherein in Chemical Formula 1-1 and 1-2, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O, R 1 to R 10 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof, and n1 and n2 are independently an integer ranging from 0 to 3. 3. The monomer of claim 1 , wherein the monomer is represented by one of Chemical Formula 1-1A to 1-2D: wherein in Chemical Formula 1-1A to 1-2D, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O. 4. A polymer comprising a structural unit derived from the monomer of claim 1 . 5. The polymer of claim 4 , wherein the structural unit is derived from a reaction product of the monomer with a carbonate or a derivative thereof. 6. A polymer comprising a first structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 3: wherein in Chemical Formula 3, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O, R 1 to R 10 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof, and n1 and n2 are independently an integer ranging from 0 to 3. 7. The polymer of claim 6 , wherein the first structural unit is represented by Chemical Formula 3-1 or 3-2: wherein in Chemical Formula 3-1 and 3-2, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O, R 1 to R 10 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof, and n1 and n2 are independently an integer ranging from 0 to 3. 8. The polymer of claim 6 , wherein the first structural unit is represented by one of Chemical Formula 3-1A to 3-2D: wherein in Chemical Formula 3-1A to 3-2D, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O. 9. The polymer of claim 6 , wherein the polymer further comprises a second structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 4: wherein in Chemical Formula 4, L 1 is a single bond, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 arylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 divalent heterocyclic group, O, C(═O), C(═O)O, SO 2 , or a combination thereof, and R 11 and R 12 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof. 10. The polymer of claim 9 , wherein a mole ratio of the first structural unit and the second structural unit is about 0.1:99.9 to about 10.0:90.0. 11. The polymer of claim 9 , wherein a mole ratio of the first structural unit and the second structural unit is about 1:99 to about 5:95. 12. A compensation film comprising a polymer comprising a structural unit derived from the monomer of claim 1 . 13. The compensation film of claim 12 , wherein the structural unit is derived from a reaction product of the monomer with a carbonate or a derivative thereof. 14. The compensation film of claim 12 , wherein the compensation film is elongated in a uniaxial or biaxial direction. 15. A compensation film comprising a first polymer comprising a first structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 3: wherein in Chemical Formula 3, X 1 and X 2 are independently O, C(═O), or C(═O)O, R 1 to R 10 are independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 cycloalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6 to C20 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3 to C20 heterocyclic group, a substituted or unsubstituted silyl group, a hydroxy group, a halogen, a nitro group, or a combination thereof, and n1 and n2 are independently an integer ranging from 0 to 3. 16.
