What is claimed is: 1. A display apparatus comprising a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix including a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction, each of the pixels respectively including: a first sub-pixel for displaying a first primary color; a second sub-pixel for displaying a second primary color; and a third sub-pixel for displaying a third primary color; and a fourth sub-pixel for displaying a fourth color other than the first primary color, the second primary color, and the third primary color, wherein, in each of the pixels, the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth sub-pixel are arranged in this order in the first direction; wherein an area of the third sub-pixel is smaller than an area of the second sub-pixel and is larger than half of the area of the second sub-pixel; and wherein an area of the fourth sub-pixel is smaller than the area of the second sub-pixel and is larger than half of the area of the second sub-pixel, wherein a combined area of the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel is smaller than twice the area of the second sub-pixel and is larger than the area of the second sub-pixel, and the area of the third sub-pixel is smaller than the area of the second sub-pixel. 2. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein an area of the first sub-pixel is equal to the area of the second sub-pixel, and wherein a distance between a center of the first sub-pixel and a center of the second sub-pixel is greater than a distance between the center of the second sub-pixel and a center of the third sub-pixel. 3. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein an area of the third sub-pixel is equal to the area of the fourth sub-pixel, and wherein a distance between a center of the third sub-pixel and a center of the fourth sub-pixel is shorter than a distance between a center of the second sub-pixel and a center of the third sub-pixel. 4. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first sub-pixel is a red sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel is a green sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel is a blue sub-pixel, and the fourth sub-pixel is a white sub-pixel; and wherein the first primary color is red, the second primary color is green, the third primary color is blue, and the fourth color is white. 5. The display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first sub-pixel is a red sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel is a green sub-pixel, and the third sub-pixel is a blue sub-pixel, and the fourth sub-pixel is a white sub-pixel; and the first primary color is red, the second primary color is green, the third primary color is blue, and the fourth color is white. 6. The display apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein each of the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth subpixel has a same length in the second direction. 7. A display apparatus comprising: a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix including a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction, each of the pixels respectively including; a first sub-pixel for displaying a first primary color, the first sub-pixel having a first width in the first direction; a second sub-pixel for displaying a second primary color, the second sub-pixel having a second width in the first direction; a third sub-pixel for displaying a third primary color, the third sub-pixel having a third width in the first direction; and a fourth sub-pixel for displaying a fourth color other than the first primary color, the second primary color, and the third primary color, the fourth sub-pixel having a fourth width in the first direction, wherein, in each of the pixels, the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth sub-pixel are arranged in this order in the first direction; wherein the third width is smaller than the second width and is greater than half of the second width; and wherein the fourth width is smaller than the second width and greater than half of the second width, wherein a combined width of the third width and the fourth width is smaller than twice the second width and is greater than the second width, and the third width is smaller than the second width. 8. The display apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the first width is equal to the second width, and wherein a distance between a center of the first sub-pixel and a center of the second sub-pixel is greater than a distance between the center of the second sub-pixel and a center of the third sub-pixel. 9. The display apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein each of the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth subpixel has a same length in the second direction. 10. The display apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the third width is equal to the fourth width, and wherein a distance between a center of the third sub-pixel and a center of the fourth sub-pixel is shorter than a distance between a center of the second sub-pixel and a center of the third sub-pixel. 11. The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein each of the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth subpixel has a same length in the second direction. 12. The display apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein each of the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth subpixel has a same length in the second direction.
